Chapter 724 New Staff

Vivian Swanson rushed to the front, took Melissa’s hand and turned around: “Where have you been all

these days? I missed you to death.” she said.

“I’ve been sick for the past two days, which has made everyone worried.” Melissa replied.

As soon as she said this, everyone gathered around her to take a look at her.

Shayna was also behind, shy as usual, only smiling coyly from the side: “Little Meli has lost weight.”

she said.

Melissa touched her cheek, it was indeed much thinner than before.

Even Calvin came out of the office to welcome Melissa. He had been helping Melissa out with

everything in the company of late.

“You are finally home,” he said to Melissa.

Melissa smiled, as the entertainers chatted around her, so lively.

It had been a long time since she disappeared, and the company has been so busy trying to make up

for her absence..

I’ve not been around for a while, how has the company been?” Melissa asked.

“It’s been like a year for us.” Calvin said.

He exaggerated, and then explained to Melissa the hard work he had been through.:

“If I hadn’t experienced it myself, I wouldn’t know there were so many things to handle in the company,”

he said.

Melissa raised an eyebrow:

“Oh? Really?” She muttered.

“Yeah.” Calvin said, and nodded, then massaged his thumb and index finger together. “However, as

long as the money is in place, I’m willing to go all the way, and never give up,” he added.

As soon Calvin said this, everyone who was present immediately laughed.

“Well, we would all see your performance,” Melissa said. She was blunt with her words, which made

Calvin embarrassed.

“I can’t think of being so conscientious these days that I can’t get back Little Meli’s heart.” Calvin said.

Melissa was amused by Calvin, and squeezed his arm gently:

“With all the chaos going on, the end of the year award would be far-fetched,” she said.

As soon as Melissa said this, Calvin obediently shut his mouth.

Melissa looked at the company’s employees:

“It seems that everyone has been doing well recently.” she said.

Turning her head, she saw a new face among the crowd.

“Who is she?” Melissa said, as she squinted and pointed at Jennifer not far away.

“Oh, I forgot to introduce her to you.” Calvin said, and walked over to Jennifer.: “The new recruit. I hired

her two days ago. Her name is Jennifer,” he said.

“Say hello to little Meli.” Calvin said, as he patted Jennifer on her back fondly.

“Good-day, little Meli.” Jennifer said.

She was very cooperative and bowed to Melissa, in a very polite way.

Melissa nodded, but it seemed like Jennifer was avoiding looking into her eyes.

On the way here, Melissa had already learned about the recent situation of Star Entertainment on

twitter, and she already knew a thing or two about Jennifer..

But in front of the entire company, Melissa did not want to address the issue..

However, when she looked at Jennifer, she felt that her face was a little familiar, as if she had seen it

somewhere.

“What are you thinking about?” Calvin asked, pulling Melissa out of her thoughts. She shook her head

and dismissed everyone. Then she started to return to her office.

Along the way, Melissa noticed that Jennifer’s pace was different from others, and the aura around her

was heavy.

She shook her head again, suggesting that she was probably thinking too much, and then walked into

the office.

Back in the office, Melissa flipped through Jennifer’s resume.. Her records were clean. She was from a

dysfunctional family, but she had the strength to pull through.

She crossed her hands, disregarding Jennifer’s dirty linen being hung on the internet.

Melissa considered it out of place that, although many of the public opinions on the internet were not

credible, and Jeniffer’s information concerning her background was so clean, how could anyone pick

up so much dirt about her?

Couldn’t they see through the issue clearly?.

Entertainers do not have absolutely clean backgrounds, but with so many new recruits in different

companies, how could Jennifer be picked on alone? This made her a little confused, and she didn’t

know how to go about it.

Thinking of Jennifer’s dodging gaze a while ago, Melissa felt that something was wrong.

Soon, she regained her composure. She had started dealing with Star Entertainment’s affairs.. She had

not worked for a long time, so she was struggling.

When it was time to get off work, she stood up, and probably because of the sedentary time, she

suddenly felt dizzy.

It seems that her body had not been fully restored. It was going to be a long battle to restore her body,

and she needed to pay more attention to it.

On the way back home from work, Melissa passed by the small alley, and she walked into it without

thinking.

Recalling the route that Jill led her through in the morning, Melissa soon came to where the kittens and

dogs were.

However, unexpectedly, Jill was also there.

“You are here too.” Jill yelped when she saw Melissa. She greeted Melissa, and did not stop stroking

the cat in her hand. She enjoyed playing with it.

“Well, I just got off work.” Melissa said, and instinctively started adding food in the bowl for the animals.

“I just added it.”Jill said, and Melissa put down the food..

“You take care of them by yourself, haven’t you thought about finding a new owner for them?” Melissa

asked.

“You have to find them owners,” she added.

Jill picked up the cat in her hands, kissing and hugging it, with her eyes full of unconcealed joy.

Melissa stared straight at the girl in front of her, always feeling that her face was very familiar.

Suddenly, a figure flashed in Melissa’s mind Jennifer!

Her pupils shrank, and the eyebrows of the two were exactly the same. What’s more, their surnames

were Jing.

“What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?” Jill asked.

her expression darkened.

Jill explained her sad past life to Melissa and Melissa lowered her head in pity:

“I’m sorry.” she said.

“It’s nothing.” Jill said, and shook her head: “I have a younger sister, but she’s a star now, so she might

not care about me anymore.” she added.

Her words were a little sad, and then she raised her head and pointed at the Star Entertainment

company not far away: “Now, she works there. I sometimes wonder if I will ever meet her, but

unfortunately I never have,” Jill explained.

Melissa was stunned, not expecting the relationship between the two to have reached such a point.

“Jennifer?” She asked.

“Look, even you know who she is.” Jill murmured.

When it came to Jennifer, Jill was a different person, completely different from the cute little girl with

sunshine in the morning. Melissa did not go on talking about Jennifer. Jennifer, indeed, seemed a little

bit strange.,

However, Jennifer’s information was very clean, and there was no mention of her having a sister.

In this way, there was another hidden relationship between the two ladies.
