Chapter 830
Mrs. Gibson, Your Identily Is Exposed
Chapter 830 The contract expires
Itâs as if the person just disappeared out of thin air.
Even the house she lived in was empty.
Adela no longer had any support. She was penniless, living in a park.,
After another night in the park, Adela decided that she needed to end this and walked to Melissaâs
company. She needed the contract between she and Melissa to be terminated. Perhaps that way she
could making a living somehow instead of being an outcast.
The security guard at the entrance of the building stopped her and said, âIf you want food, go to the
side. Charity donations start at 5pm.â
âI want to see Melissa. Do you not know who I am?â Adela demanded as she took off the mask and
looked at the security guard coldly.
âYou will wait until I get confirmation on if she will see you,â the security guard responded, unmoved by
her outburst.
Everyone in the company knew now that Hayley was really Adela. His impression of her was the same
as everyone else: a shameless, disgusting woman.
Melissa and Jill were chatting casually in Melissaâs office. Melissa decided that she was going to make
clothes for her baby instead of buying. It was a tradition her mother started that she wanted to continue.
âLook. You know Murray will be worried that you will be stressed if you do that. Heâll be all over you to
make sure you stay calm and relaxed. It is kind of gross how you two fawn over each other,â Jill said.
She disliked public displays of affection. It didnât matter if they were married or not. She just didnât want
to see it.
âWhen you find a man that you love, you wonât be saying that,â Melissa responded.
âI think not. Men only think with their little heads. I donât have time to deal with that,â Jill countered.
There was a knock on the door and Melissaâs assistant entered the room. She whispered in her ear
and Melissaâs cheerfully expression faltered slightly.
âBring her in,â Melissa said. The assistant nodded and left.
âWho is coming? Are you going to seriously do work right now? I havenât had any time to catch up with
you,â Jill pouted as she had managed to find time to spend with Melissa.
âDonât worry, no. Melissa sat on the sofa with a blanket over her stomach. After a while, Adela was
brought in.
When Jill saw her, her brows furrowed and asked, âWhat the hell happened to you? You look
homeless.â
Melissa was also a little surprised by Adelaâs appearance. Within half a month, she looked nothing like
she did before.
âLong time no see, Adela,â Melissa said. âHow can I help you?â Melissa pointed casually to a chair in a
corner and asked her to sit down.
Adela knelt directly on the ground and apologized, âIâm sorry. I shouldnât have done what I did. Please
forgive me.â
Melissa wasnât moved by her apology. She knew that if Adela still had money, she would not be here
begging for forgiveness. More like, Adela would be plotting her revenge.
âYou came here today to say this?â
âI beg you forgive me. Please call the people off. I canât go anywhere without people harassing or
taunting me,â Adela continued. Hearing this, Melissa burst into laughter.
âYou think too much of yourself. Iâve never asked anyone to follow you. Youâre being harassed based
on your actions not mine!â
âI apologize to you for what happened before, âAdela said again.
âWhat are you doing apologizing to me? The situation is over and done with. If that is all you wanted,
you can see yourself out.â Melissa said dismissively. Shedidnât care about her existence at all.
If Adela had been smart, she would have secured her future instead of trying to be petty. Again, she did
this to herself. It was no one elseâs fault but her own that she was homeless now. Adela would not have
been forgiving if the shoe was on the other foot.
âDonât we still have a contract? The contract has not expired. You are still my manager.â Adela blurted
out as she suddenly remembered the contract they signed.
Melissa stood up slowly. She went to her file cabinet. After flicking through some folders, she pulled out
Adelaâs.
âI remember that the contract with you was for a three-month period, including your training!â Melissa
casually flipped to the last page and found that it just ended today.
The contract would not be valid after today. Even if there was a month left, Melissa wouldnât honor this
contract since Adela signed it with a fake name with malicious intent.
âSee for yourself,â Melissa said as she handed the contract to Adela, âThe contract ends today.â
Adela couldnât believe her eyes. She didnât pay attention to the time period when she first signed. Adela
signed it without hesitation. At that time, she just thought as long as she had a relationship with Melissa
that she didnât have to worry about the rest. That was the irony of the situation. Adela didnât even
consider things devolving to this point.
âAre you trying to trick me? Is our relationship over?â Adela questioned suspiciously.
âHave you not seen yourself?â Jill responded. âLook in the mirror sweetie. Do you really think we would
go through great lengths to frame someone like you? You think too highly of yourself.â âHave you not
done enough? Now youâre going to kick me when Iâm at my lowest?!â Adela snapped at Jill, who
shrugged at her. âNow, please leave the premises. There are many people here that who donât want to
see you ever again,â Melissa stated as she stood up. She opened the door and motioned for Adela to
leave. If the public relations department knew Adela was here, they probably would go into a frenzy
due to how much stress Adela caused.
Melissa stood by the window watching Adela go.
âDo you think Iâm cruel?â Melissa asked.
âNo. You gave Adela many opportunities to stop what she was doing and she refused to do so,â Jill
answered. She knew how much
Melissa endured throughout her life and knew that Melissa tried to do the right thing even to her
enemies.
Adela walked out of the building and really wanted to dive straight into the river.
When she began to consider it more, an unfamiliar number called her cell phone.
Adela didnât know the number, so she ended the call. She was trying to preserve as much battery as
she could. Who knew when she would be able to charge it again? She had to find wifi to even make
calls.
The number continued to call her and Adela finally answered.
âHello, Iâm Huyu Live. We would like to invite you to be our streamer.â
The voice on the other end of the phone was like a life-saver, pulling Adela Yale out of the vortex of
darkness.
She agreed without thinking.
Adela went to a park bathroom and cleaned herself up as much as she could. She put on one of her
cleaner outfits and went to the company building.
It was just a simple two-story, building, but there were no less than ten luxury cars parked at the door,
all of which were more than one million.
This made Adela hopeful that she could recover from this low point in her life.
She entered the building and spoke to the receptionist, who had been waiting for her. The president
contacted the person in charge, who came downstairs to speak with Adela.
âWe saw your situation in the news. We believe that you didnât deserve to be harassed in that way. We
believe in offering second chances. We wanted to invite you to be our streamer. You have potential and
think youâll do well here. What do you think?â
