Chapter 854
Mrs. Gibson, Your Identily Is Exposed
Chapter 854 Intentions
A pregnancy meal is usually characterized by high protein and high nutrition, and light taste and easy
digestion. Being a nursing mother herself once, Carlee understood what was going on as soon as she
listened to Sylviaâs description.
After thinking for a moment, Carlee frowned and said solemnly: âIf I guess correctly, Iâm afraid Nina has
already given birth to a child.â
Sylvia was surprised, blinked her eyes and asked, âDidnât you say sheâs more than eight months
pregnant, thereâs still some time before her due date.â
Carlee was still thinking hard and trying to put the pieces together. Harley had left early and returned
late in the past two days, and last night he refused to tell his whereabouts, which made her more
confident in her judgment.
âMaybe itâs a premature birth!â Carleeâs words were loud and clear, and a change of mood followed.
Although she did not like Nina, she still wanted to know if the newborn child was a boy or a girl.
Sylvia saw that Carlee was not enthusiastic like her eagerly: âMrs. Timothy, how about I accompany
you to go down and ask him?â
âThere is no need!â Carlee refused, rolled his eyes, and revealed his fears. âNow that I have issues with
Harley, itâll be near impossible to get him to speak. Even if you ask, you may not be able to get an
answer.â
With that said, Carlee stood up and paced the room with her hands behind her back.
âYou call Mrs. Barns in, I have something to tell her.â
âOkay Mrs. Timothy, give me a moment,â Sylvia said and then went out obediently.
In the evening, Harley put the cooked soup in a heat preservation bucket, used a heat preservation box
to pack the meals, and then drove to the hospital. As soon as he left, Mrs. Barns ran upstairs to report
to Carlee. By this time Carlee had already changed into another outfit, and picking another car used it
to trail Harleyâs car secretly.
About forty minutes later, Harley got to the hospital oblivious that he was being followed by Carlee. It is
now time for dinner, and Kasen Paul and Mrs. Ariana returned home to prepare dinner for Nina. Harley
heard the silence in the ward and determined that the old couple should not be there, so he knocked on
the door with confidence.
When the knock sounded, Nina was flipping through parenting books, arming herself with tips while she
looked forward to the baby coming out of the incubator later in the day. She thought it was her parents,
so she didnât hesitate before responding.
With the permission of Nina, Harley pushed the door and walked in, smiling.
âNina, are you hungry? I made soup for you.â
Once her eyes fell on Harley, Nina was shocked and slightly annoyed. She dropped her book and
turned to him.
âWhy are you here again?â
Harley walked to the bedside and put down the things in his hand, and patiently explained: âPlease
donât be annoyed, Iâm just here to bring you ner, wait for you to finish eating and I will go.â
Nina was not moved. Seeing Harley opening the insulated bucket and the insulated lunch box, she
frowned and said, âI said I didnât want to see you, please take your things and leave?â
âNinaâ¦â Harley pleaded helplessly.
Nina was not still moved. She endured the pain of the incision in her abdomen and sat up from the
hospital bed.
âDonât pester me anymore, if you want what is good for me. Let me sit here alone in peace!â
âWell, I wonât provoke you anymore.â Harley said, before giving a wry smile and taking two steps back
to keep a distance from Nina.
Before leaving the ward, his eyes were reluctant to part, staring at Ninaâs thin cheeks, pursing his lips
and smiling soothingly: âIâm sorry for what I did to you. But try to drink the soup a little, itâs good for your
body.â
Nina was not soft-hearted, but she still listened to what Harley said and took a generous sip of the
soup. Seeing Nina nodding slightly in satisfaction, Harley felt relieved, and then he left the ward with a
settled mind.
Hearing the sound of the door closing, Nina lowered his head and suddenly looked up at the door. He
was gone. Her mood declined for a while. The spicy aroma of the soup seduced her nostrils, daring her
to take a sip and she couldnât help but succumb. Besides, her stomach was rumbling as she seemed to
have developed some sort of gigantic craving for food.
âItâs so bland!â Nina frowned, she picked up the fork and picked up a stir-fried cabbage, and found that
it was not well cooked. Needless to say, these meals had to be made by Harley himself.
Nina knew that Harley never cooked in the past, but today he cooked for the first time. She felt special.
Even though the soup was not tasty enough and the vegetable not well cooked, Nina knew that Harley
was very careful about chores and kitchen work and fled from them. It had to take a lot of sacrifice on
his part to have come up with such a meal.
It was just that now the two of them had reached the point of no return, and she was unwilling to put
down her pride and accept him. Besides, Sylvia lives in the Timothy familyâs home, so how was she
supposed to compete with that?
While Nina was drinking soup with a tangled heart, Harley walked into the elevator. He wanted to see
his daughter upstairs. Although he couldnât hold her in his arms, it was good to have a glance. Soon
Harley greeted the doctor and, under the guidance of the nurse, saw her daughter lying in the
incubator, soundly asleep.
âBaby, Daddy is here to see you!â
Harley couldnât help laughing at her daughter and waved at her through the glass. He knew he couldnât
go in and disturb the little, so he just stood quietly outside. Harley was still watching her daughter speak
when she suddenly felt that her breathing rate and colour were not normal.
Of course, Harley was not a medical professional but he had an inkling that something was wrong but
couldnât wrap around what it was exactly.
Out of concern for the child, Harley decided to ask the doctor. He then walked into the consultation
room, and as soon as he took a seat, he expressed his concerns to the doctor.
When the doctor heard Harleyâs description, he answered with a light smile: âMr. Timothy, donât worry,
because your daughter was born prematurely, her lungs are not yet fully developed. These conditions
will slowly disappear after full-term.â
âReally? Why donât you give the child an examinationâ¦â
Harley spoke hesitantly, for fear that his daughter would miss the slightest bit.
The doctor paid a deaf ear to Harleyâs advice and told him to wait patiently. âI have checked her already
and your child is relatively healthy.â
âOkay, Iâll come back tomorrow to see the child, thank you, doctor,â He thanked the doctor with his
mouth, but inside, he felt uneasy.
Since Nina gave birth, Harley has also spent a lot of time researching all aspects of taking care of
premature babies. He knew that a premature baby would not be as healthy as a normally born child, so
he was always on his guard. Taking the elevator back downstairs, Harley wondered if he should tell
Nina about it. However, thinking that Ninaâs own body had not recovered fully, maybe it will only add to
her troubles.
âJust observe for two more days, I hope the baby is all right!â
Harley chided himself and planned to go back to the ward to see if Nina had drunk the soup he had
been preparing for most of the day. He trotted quickly down the corridor, wanting to see Nina as soon
as possible. It was only before Harley got closer to the ward that he was shocked to find a quarrel
going on inside.
