Chapter 870 Stubborn People

After saying this, Arno turned around and left. Melissa looked at his retreating figure, intrigued by his

determination. She was happy for the two of them but hoped that Arno meant what he said this time.

BACK TO THE HOSPITAL.

Father Kim was taking care of Sileas and helping her take one of her medications while trying to talk

sense into her.

“Don’t develop unnecessary hatred for Vivian. Don’t you remember how our son was happy when the

two of them were together? Why are you trying to break them apart even more?” Arno’s father asked.

He was relatively gentle, as he didn’t want to see their mother and son turn against each other.

“I’m not angry, I’m just worried for our son. That woman is not that easy to mess with.”

Sileas had always felt that Vivian was quick-tempered and wrong- mannered as it was Vivian who was

talking behind her back that the relationship between Sileas and her son was beginning to grow weak.

“Let the kids solve the problem between them. We are old people, just coordinating them by the side,

watching them live well and be happier than anyone else.” The Dewar family’s father said in his usual

soothing voice.

Arno listened at the door, these words felt a little unkind but he kept listening in until he was fed up and

walked into the room. Sileas was not so surprised when she saw Arno in person. “Why did you come?”

Sileas asked, scoffing.

“I’m here to take care of you. If you thought I would change my mind, you’re wrong because I won’t

marry another person except for Vivian.” Arno said, rolling his eyes 1.

“What do you mean by that? Are you trying to claim your mother made a statement?” Sileas spat,

slightly annoyed.

The father of the Dewar family was beside her with good words to persuade her “What are you still

going on about? Let the two children deal with it on their own.”

“I think we should have a hand in this,” Sileas retorted. “Only God knows how much worse that woman

has done to my son. Your son is still talking to me with this bitter face and with no respect.

“Please don’t say that about her. She is a flawless person in my heart.” Arno said to maintain his

positive image of Vivian. It is a pity that he was already convinced in his heart, and it was difficult for

others to change this thought in his heart.

“I don’t believe it anymore. What kind of person can make you so determined to make the obviously

wrong choices? Don’t forget that I am your biological mother and I want nothing but the best for you.”

Hearing this, Arno stood there silently. Now no matter what he said or did, he couldn’t change the way

his mother saw Vivian. The impression of Vivian in his mother’s mind was fixed and if anyone tried to

advise her to change, she wouldn’t back down.

“Actually, Vivian looks like a good girl even though she doesn’t have so much. I like her very much, but

I think your mother who hasn’t seen her recently just heard some news she wasn’t sure about and let it

affect the impression of Vivian in your mother’s mind.” The Dewar family’s father said sincerely.

Arno agreed.

“Are you two going to unite against me?” His mom asked.

“How dare we deal with you, after all, you are the kindest person I’ve ever known,” Arno hurriedly said,

catching his father’s wink.

“Okay, don’t talk too much, it means nothing to me at all, and I won’t let him go so easily.”

“Sileas, now I can’t listen to outsiders, a certain belief seems to be confirmed in my heart, no matter

how much other people say, it is in vain.

“Then think about it yourself and see if what I said is correct,” Arno, butted in.

This made Sileas sit up. “You also think about it from another position. Did I persuade you like this back

then?”

against you.” Sileas said, but her son stormed out the ward before she could finish speaking.

After he left, a lot of days passed and Arno did not visit the ward. It was until Sileas was discharged

from the hospital that she saw her son.

Shayna and Calvin Faber have been busy preparing for their wedding recently, especially because

there are too many wedding matters. Busy Shayna and Calvin Faber are always quarreling. The one

that was fried at one point made Calvin Faber helpless.

“I said I hate this colour, who brought this thing?”

“I said that this flower is not suitable to be placed here!”

“Where are the people Calvin Faber made an invite for?”

The sound of Shayna’s complaint filled the room early in the morning while Calvin Faber was fast

asleep in bed. However, his refreshing sleep was interrupted by a maid who rushed into his room after

a brief knock.

“Mr. Faber, please there’s been an issue. Shayna started disturbing everyone with complaints so early

in the morning. Please come with me!”

Calvin Faber woke up suddenly, but after listening to the message he rolled over to the side of the bed.

“Hello, Mr. Faber?”

“Okay, I have heard you. Just hold on for a while, I’ll go right after I wash up.

”Calvin Faber just came back from an out-of-town business trip last night. There was a magazine shoot

in the early morning, so he didn’t go to Shayna. He vaguely remembered that he assured her that she

wouldn’t have to worry about tomorrow’s affairs. Now he needed no one to tell him the maids had

messed everything up and he had a lot of apologizing to do.

He got up and took a quick shower. To calm Shayna, he went to the flower shop to buy a bunch of

roses and then went to the bag store where she usually likes to buy expensive bags from her favourite

brand. Fortunately, it was not too early in the morning. There were not many people, so Calvin Faber

got what he wanted and headed back to control the situation at home.
