Chapter 946 launch an attack

Hearing this, Melissa suppressed her anger and walked forward to apologize to Uncle Gibson, “I’m

sorry, Uncle Gibson.It’s my fault.I didn’t take good care of Claire.I’m also ashamed of myself that this

car accident happened because of me.Please forgive me.”Melissa’s apology was a charade.Infact,she

wanted to gather some information about the accident and wanted Claire to admit whatever she had

done.

“How about you give Melissa a chance and let her have a look?”Murray asked them.

Uncle Gibson didn’t say anything,but waved at Melissa.

On the other hand, Melissa moved forward towards Claire.She saw that her body was covered with

tubes and she seemed very weak but still she couldn’t bring herself to sympathize with her.

daughter.Melissa was afraid that whenever the truth would come out,how disappointed he was going to

“Just in order to downgrade me in front of my husband and in-laws,you played dirty.Do you think these

cheap tricks will work on me?”Melissa said through her gritted teeth.

Meanwhile after hearing that Claire understood that Melissa knew everything.So there was no reason

for her to act in front of her.

“Now you should know how much I hate you. Just to defeat you,l risked my own life. You snatched the

man I loved the most. Why do I even let you live peacefully?”Claire told her enviously.

She still loved Murray and seeing him everyday while taking care of his wife and child was very difficult

for her.

With the passing time Claire’s obsession with Murray kept increasing and if it were in her hands then

she could replace Melissa in Murray’s life countless times.

So in order to achieve higher, she accepted defeat initially.She went abroad to study and improved

herself.

Little did she know when she would come back.It will be more difficult for her to see Murray showing his

affection towards his wife and child on a daily basis.

“Since you have admitted it,I don’t need to ask anything more.Take care of yourself.”Melissa turned off

the recording function on the phone.

Fortunately, she had got what she wanted so there was no reason to stay there.In no time she walked

out of the ward and pretended to be pitiful.

“Claire was very sad.I suggest you go inside and meet her.”Melissa suggested Uncle Gibson and he

went straight in.

for such a long time. And then this accident happened for which your company is solely responsible.

Anyways!If your company fails to resolve this issue then I am afraid that it will be a difficult task to run

your company.”Mrs. Timothy said indifferently.

It was clearly evident that she was having fun while seeing Melissa like

“Since you have said so,our company will hold a press conference this afternoon.Remember to pay

attention to it.”

“Isn’t it risky to hold a press conference at this time?”The investigation result of Murray hasn’t come out

yet. They are trying too hard, you must wait for them.”Mrs. Timothy never thought that Melissa would

take her words seriously.

considerate for the results.”Melissa taunted her.

Mrs. Timothy was unhappy to be called out for her hypocrisy..

“What you are doing is to save your position in the family. There’s nothing special in that.So why are

Originally, she never liked Melissa but now she started loathing her.She gave birth to four children in

which there are twin boys and twin girls. She knew that her position in the family got stronger. But she

still thinks that Melissa doesn’t match the standards of being the daughter in law of their family.

“This is between me and Murray.It has nothing to do with you.”Melissa gave an equal answer to her.

Meanwhile Melissa knew that if she would talk more to her,the conflict would be intensified and the war

would be triggered.

The nurse on the other end of the line hurried over and said, “This is the ICU.Keep your voice down in

case it will affect the patient’s rest.”

Mrs. Timothy and Melissa sat aside and didn’t say anything.

After a while Murray stepped forward and patted Melissa’s shoulder.

“Are you sure you want to hold a press conference?”

Melissa calculated the pros and cons of doing that and then nodded again.

Melissa was not very happy to hear that. She knew that Murray was genuinely feeling sad for Claire

and if he would get to know that it was

“No,thanks.We will solve this fiasco on our own.. You don’t need to worry about it.”She said and didn’t

look in his eyes. Before he could say something she turned around and left.

“Have you seen her attitude?You were trying to be kind to her but she

clearly don’t respect you and your choices. There’s no use of being with her.It will be better if you will

divorce her as soon as possible.”Mrs. Timothy tried to put fuel in the fire.

Listening to the mention of divorce,Murray’s expression changed.

“If you don’t know how to respect the elders and children and always say something dispensable, I

have to send you abroad.”

“If you don’t know that whatever is happening it’s between husband and wife then you can go back to

abroad.I don’t want you to be around me.”Murray knew what his mother was trying to do all that time.

So he didn’t show much politeness to her. His eyes darkened. Mrs. Gibson got scared.

“Sooner or later, you will regret defending a woman like that.”His mother tried to sound obnoxious.

Murray ignored her empty warnings, and when he saw Melissa leaving. He followed her.

Melissa drove in the front, and he followed her till she reached the company.

“Why are you following me all this time?”

As soon as Melissa got out of the car,she walked up to his car and knocked on the window.

“It’s none of your business.”Murray replied coldly. Then he walked around and entered the elevator.

Meanwhile the reporters outside were ready,waiting for the company to open the door.

The colleagues of the public relations department were preparing a speech for Melissa and their main

motive was to clear the name of the company regarding the accident.

They came to the meeting room.

It was the first time that Murray had been there since the accident.

The colleagues of the public relations department were all shocked.

Rather than being happy to see them together,everyone envied them.

.Only Melissa knew the reason behind it.

“I don’t need these reports,nor do I need these empty things. Besides, you just need to control these

reporters. I’ll handle the rest.”Melissa told them.

She was well prepared for such an occasion. “Prepare the company’s public relations files and send

them out as soon as the press conference is over. Don’t forget this. I don’t appreciate tardiness.”
