MY BROTHER IN LAW ( BL)
AYAAN MUKHERJEE'S POV
I stared at the figure in shock, my mind reeling. It was like looking into a mirror, but not quite. The face was identical to mine, but the eyes were different. Colder. Harder.
'Who are you?' I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.
The figure smiled, a cruel smile. 'I'm your twin brother, Abhimann,' he said. 'The one you never knew existed.'
I was stunned. A twin brother? I had never heard of him, never even suspected.
Abhimann took a step closer, his eyes glinting with malice. 'We were separated at birth,' he said. 'But I've been watching you, Ayaan. I just have been waiting for the perfect moment to strike.'
I struggled against my bonds, but they were too tight. Yuvraaj was still unconscious, helpless.
'What do you want?' I spat at abhimann.
Abhimann's expression changed, his eyes softening. 'I don't want to hurt you, Ayaan,' he said. 'I am here to protect you.'
I was confused. 'Protect me from what?' I asked.
Abhimann hesitated, looking around the room nervously. 'From the people who are after you,' he said. 'The people who want to harm you.'
I stared at him, unsure of what to believe. But as I looked into his eyes, I saw something there that gave me pause. Sincerity. Concern.
'And why should I trust you?' I asked.
Abhimann smiled wryly. 'Because I'm your brother,' he said. 'And I've been watching over you for years, I know you better than you know yourself."
I had never heard of him before, but apparently, he had been watching over me for years.
'How?' I asked, my mind racing. 'What do you mean you've been saving me from the shadows?'
Abhimann smiled again. 'Let's just say I've been your guardian angel,' he said. 'I've been protecting you from people who want to hurt you, Ayaan. And I've been doing it for a long time.'
I thought back to all the close calls I had had, all the times I had narrowly escaped danger. It couldn't be a coincidence.
'Why?' I asked. 'Why would you do that for me?'
Abhimann's expression turned serious. 'Because, Ayaan, you're important. You are another half of me. And I'm not going to let anyone hurt you.'
I was overwhelmed. I didn't know what to say, what to do.
But as I looked at Abhimann, I saw something in his eyes. Something that made me trust him.
Abhimann's expression turned grim. 'I know what happened to you, Ayaan,' he said. 'I know about the attack.'
I felt a wave of shame wash over me. I had never told anyone about that night, about what those men had done to me.
'How did you know?' I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Abhimann's eyes filled with compassion. 'I was watching over you, even then,' he said. 'I was too late to stop it, but I've been trying to make it right ever since.'
I felt a lump form in my throat. No one had ever acknowledged my pain, my trauma. No one had ever tried to help me heal.
'Why?' I asked again, my voice cracking.
Abhimann took a step closer. 'Because, Ayaan, you deserve justice. And you deserve to be safe.'
I broke down, tears streaming down my face. Abimann wrapped his arms around me, holding me close.
'I'm so sorry, Ayaan,' he whispered. 'I'm so sorry I couldn't there to protect you myself.'
Abhimann's eyes turned cold, his jaw clenched. 'but you don't need to worry now, I took care of them,' he said. 'I made sure they could never hurt anyone again.'
I felt a shiver run down my spine. I didn't know what to think, how to process this information.
'What do you mean?' I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Abhimann's expression was grim. 'I killed them, brutally.' he said. 'I made sure they paid for what they did to you.'
I felt a wave of emotions: shock, horror, but also a twisted sense of satisfaction. Those men had ruined my life, and now they were gone.
'Why?' I asked again, my voice shaking.
Abhimann's eyes locked onto mine. 'Because, Ayaan, you're my brother. And I want to protect you.'
I felt a lump form in my throat. No one had ever stood up for me like that before. No one had ever avenged me.
Abhimann's expression turned dark. 'And now, this asshole Yuvraaj is trying to hurt you,' he said. 'and he will pay for it.'
I shook my head. 'No, Abhimann, you're wrong. Yuvraaj loves me.'
Abhimann's eyes narrowed. 'Love?' he spat. 'He's using you, Ayaan. He's going to break your heart. Don't be fooled by his sweet words. He is not someone to trust.'
I felt a surge of fear. What if Abhimann was right?
'No, Abhimann, please,' I said. 'Don't hurt him.'
Abhimann's face twisted in anger. 'I'll do whatever it takes to protect you, Ayaan. Even if it means killing him.'
I knew I had to act fast. I couldn't let Abhimann hurt Yuvraaj.
'Abhimann, stop!' I said, grabbing his arm. 'You're wrong. Yuvraaj can never hurt me.'
Abhimann shook me off. ' And I won't give him the chance either. I won't let him near you,' he snarled. 'I'll kill him before I let him hurt you again.'"
I knew I had to think fast. I couldn't let Abhimann hurt Yuvraaj. I remembered the way Yuvraaj looked at me, the way he held me. He wasn't going to hurt me.
'Abhimann, listen to me!' I said, grabbing his arm again. 'Yuvraaj loves me. He would never hurt me.'
Abhimann's eyes flashed with anger. 'You're blind by his sweet words, Ayaan,' he spat. 'You don't see the truth.'
But I did see the truth. I saw the love in Yuvraaj's eyes. I saw the way he cared for me.
'No, Abhimann,' I said firmly. 'I won't let you hurt him.'
Abhimann's face twisted in rage. 'Fine,' he snarled. 'But if he hurts you, I'll be there. And I'll make him pay.'
I breathed a sigh of relief. I had stopped Abhimann from hurting Yuvraaj. But I knew this wasn't the end. Abhimann would still be watching, waiting for his chance to strike.
I had to make sure Yuvraaj was safe. I had to make sure Abhimann didn't hurt him.
