Chapter 1057 A Strange Condition
Frank clutched the examination report in his hand and pushed the door open. âSorry for keeping you
waiting. I have the result now.â
Janet hurried to her feet and showered him with questions. âHow was it? There shouldnât be any other
problems, right?â
An unreadable look flashed on his face as Frank scanned the report. The way he pinched his chin
didnât suggest anything good. âWell⦠Itâs hard to say.â
âPlease get straight to the point,â Janet pleaded, her heart sinking. She was so nervous that she could
hardly breathe. Frank seemed serious and what else could that mean aside from bad news?
Brandon squinted, studying the mysterious look on Frankâs face. Then in a low voice, he reminded,
âFrank, sheâs scared. Stop playing games.â
Frank simply shrugged and handed the examination report to Janet before saying calmly, âBrandon is
fine. He does need to take some vitamins. Heâs also at risk of hair loss when he gets old.â
Janet read through the examination report, completely ignoring Brandonâs susceptibility to baldness.
âThatâs great. Thank you, Frank.â
âNo big deal. You can go find a nurse at the front desk. Theyâll help you through Brandonâs discharge
process.â Frank pointed at a direction.
With her worries finally lifted, Janet was smiling widely. She looked at Brandon and said, âWait here. Iâll
take care of your discharge then we can go home together.â
He nodded obediently. Love and tenderness were overflowing in Brandonâs eyes.
Once Janet was gone, Brandon faced Frank and coldly asked, âDid you find out about it? Why did I
suddenly regain my memory?â
âItâs some kind of a miracle. Strange things do happen all the time. You just have to believe.â There was
a hint of indifference in Frankâs tone.
âI donât have time to listen to your nonsense,â Brandon said impatiently.
Finally, Frank turned serious. âAt first, I also found it strange. But the results of all the exams came
back clear. There wasnât any complication in your brain. I did a lot of research to give you an
explanation and this is all I can say. The car accident stimulated your bodyâs potential and that allowed
you to recover from the unknown virus and restore your memory.â
Brandon found it hard to believe what Frank said.
With a blank face, he replied, âBullshit.â
He was a realist.
Frank rolled his eyes at him, âI have evidence!â
Opening a loaded file from his mobile phone, he said, âI found this case on a medical website when I
searched for the mysterious substance that caused your condition. There was a person with the same
condition you have, except he fell down the stairs and hit his head. That triggered his recovery and now
he could remember.â
Frank continued on, seemingly invested in the topic. âThis person is as lucky as you, it seems. I donât
know if there is any way to contact him but I think you two can discuss your conditions. I already sent
you the website. You should read it when you have the time.â
Brandonâs sudden recovery still troubled him. But he really had no clue about it and he could only start
from here for the time being.
âWhat are you two talking about?â They didnât notice Janet coming. She leaned over to look at Frankâs
phone but it was full of foreign words. Before she could see clearly, Frank quickly took his phone away.
âItâs nothing.â His gaze darted everywhere in the room but at her. Frank wasnât a good liar.
Brandon placed a hand on Frankâs should and said calmly, âWeâre talking about children.â
For a moment, Janet just stared at Frank, and then she laughed. âI thought heâs a surgeon. Does he
also work as a gynecologist now? Or is this about Elizabeth? Are you going to get married? Is
Elizabeth pregnant?â
Frankâs eyes grew wide and his ears turned bright red.
Brandon smiled as he looked at Janet, âItâs about the two of us. Weâve been expecting for a while now,
havenât we?â
