Chapter 1116 Forget What Happened Last Night
Garrett returned home right away after leaving the club. The light was still on, and it appeared to be
quite cozy. When Garrett opened the door, he noticed Laney enjoying the strawberries while sitting on
the couch.
Laney glanced at the TV but directed her question towards her husband. âHow is it going? Was
Brandon severely hurt? Didnât you take him to the hospital?â
âI returned to keep you company after leaving him with Janet.â Garrett moved over and sat down,
fondling I.aneyâs round belly lovingly. âDid you miss me tonight, my little angle?â
He was so in love with the baby that he wanted to hold Laneyâs belly and kiss it.
âI think your acting skill is continually improving. Have you ever thought of acting professionally?â Laney
bit the strawberry in her hand, expressionless.
Garrett looked al her with a surprised look, smiled, and said, Honey, 1 was about to explain it to you,
but youâve already guessed it.â He had planned to tell her tire whole truth.
With a faint smile, Laney said, âDonât forget what my job was before. Itâs easy-peasy to figure out your
ruses. Janet wouldnât have fallen into your trap tonight werenât it for her devotion to Brandon.â
Garrett sighed and cradled Laney in his arms. She was about to give birth, but Garrett still effortlessly
lifted her, placed her on his lap, and said, âYou are still too light. You need to eat more. By the way, you
didnât see how embarrassed Brandon was tonight, did you? That was really funny!â
âIâm sure it took him a lot of effort to make Janet forgive him. I knew he liked her while 1 was a
bodyguard for the Larson Group. And he deserves a second chance.â
She sighed slightly, thumped Garrettâs arm, and flirtatiously said, âYouâre not allowed to come back so
late in the future. I was really concerned about you.â
âOnce I finish my work in a few days, Iâll stay with you every single day.â
Garrett suddenly smiled and sighed, his hand on her belly. âYou have excellent anti-reconnaissance
skills, and our baby must be extremely intelligent in the future. It would be preferable if the baby is a
girl. She must be beautiful, with big eyes like yours.â
âWe donât know the gender yet. Do you just assume itâs a girl? I believe your parents are looking
forward to having a grandson.â Laney seemed concerned. Suddenly, she frowned, covered her belly,
and breathed deeply. âThe baby seems to be kicking me.â
Garrett jumped to his feet, carried her to the bed, pointed at her belly, and said, âThe baby is strong and
likes to kick at night. Itâs likely a boy.â
Laney lay down on the bed with difficulties. She was still concerned after giving it some thought.
âPlease, give me my phone. Iâm worried Janet may call me later.â
Frowning, Garrett said, âDonât worry about Brandon and Janet now that youâre so tired Just rest. Iâll tell
you all about it in the morning.â
The next morning, Brandon turned over to cuddle Janet beside him, but the thing he touched was
unexpectedly soft. When he opened his eyes, he found himself holding a pillow.
He hurried downstairs. Janet was having breakfast. She pointed at the opposite seat when she saw
him.
A spread of delicious breakfast was on the table, with toast, eggs and sausages.
Brandon sat down and took a subconscious look around. This wasnât their own house, but Malus Bay,
the estate belonged to the White family.
ââWell, letâs eat. What exactly are you looking at?â Janet look a tissue and wiped her lips slowly. She
said calmly, âI should not have given in to temptation last night. 1 regretted it when I woke up today.
Please eat breakfast and leave, or 1 will find another place to live.â
âBut weâve reconciled, havenât we?â Brandon paused his eating and asked, hoarsely, âOr why did we
sleep together last night?â
âYou can forget about what happened last night. Iâm leaving right now. Take your time, and remember
to clean up after breakfast.â Janet eventually got to her feet and left the villa.
Brandon placed down the fork and rubbed his hair indignantly. His eyes glowed with rage.
He had assumed that Janet had forgiven him after last nightâs sex.
He picked up his phone and dialed a number after some thought. âSean, go investigate which houses
are owned by the White family around Malus Bay.â
He would relocate here because Janet refused to go back. Even though Malus Bay was quite far from
the downtown, it didnât matter.
