Chapter 925 Protect The Children
Janet raised her hands to block the cameras.
She dealt with the reportersâ anger and ordered, âStop filming. Youâre scaring the children!â
However, no matter what she did, the reporters kept asking her questions. Some of them even began
to make up stories in front of her.
Janet looked at the staff beside her. They winked at Janet and indicated that she should leave with the
kids first.
The flashlights from the cameras were blindingly bright. The kids couldnât even open their eyes and
kept wailing. Everything was in chaos.
Several staff members now began to take the children away.
The reporters immediately chased after them and bumped into Janet, who nearly fell.
Just as she was about to land on the ground, a woman came up and grabbed her arm to stop her from
falling. âBe careful. Are you okay?â
After Janet steadied herself, she turned around to thank the woman. âIâm fine, miss. Thank you.â
With bright eyes and a sweet smile, the woman said, âYouâre welcome. Itâs really nothing.â
She stood in front of Janet and said, âLeave it to me.â
Janet was stunned. This woman looked incredibly young, yet she carried herself like an elite.
The woman raised her chin and asked the reporters, âWhich news agency are you working for? This is
a private charity event held by the Larson Group. Have you been invited? Be aware that the Larson
Group will sue anyone who snuck in here without an invitation.â
The woman managed to put the fear of God in all of them. They didnât dare to take another step
forward, yet one still managed to squeak out, âWho are you? What does this have to do with you? Get
out of our way!â
The woman stood in front of the reporters. Although she had a small frame, she was imposing and
tough. âMy name is Vivian Cooper, one of the students funded by the Larson Group. This is the Larson
Groupâs property! How shameless are you? Look how youâve scared the children! Iâm calling the police
now!â 10
Janetâs eyes lit up. Vivian seemed really tough, and the reporters all seemed genuinely intimidated in
response. âWe work for the public interest, and it is our obligation to report the truth to the public! If the
Larson Group has been mistreating the children, we will make it known to the world!â a reporter replied.
âYou want answers, do you?â Vivian looked into his eyes sharply. âMy education was funded by the
Larson Group. I got to graduate from university because of the Larson Group. You can direct any of
your questions at me rather than scaring the children here. Theyâre all just kids. Donât you see how
frightened they are?â
Indeed, the children seemed terrified. The reporters finally relented to Vivian and said, âOkay, weâll wait
for you outside, Miss Cooper.â
The reporters then left with their cameras. The staff did their best to comfort the frightened children.
After taking a deep breath, Janet said with a smile, âThank you for being here, Vivian.â
With a relaxed look on her face, Vivian flashed Janet her most charming smile and said, âTo tell you the
truth, I was scared, too. These reporters are tough. I was worried they might make something out of
what I said. I think they were intimidated because I threatened to sue them and because of you. You
are Mrs. Larson, after all.â
Janet laughed. After all, all sheâd done was hide behind Vivian.
But what Vivian said to her was very kind.
âLetâs go to a place where there arenât any reporters.â Janet and Vivian left together.
After settling down the kids, Janet started to chat with Vivian.
Janet liked Vivian instantly. âSo you said that youâre also one of the students funded by Brandon?â
