Chapter 1086 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
In the end, Dustin entered an antique study at Christopherâs invitation. After they were served coffee, they started chatting.
âKid, itâs been ten years, hasnât it? You look like a completely new person compared to back then!â Christopher looked him up and down in astonishment.
Ten years ago, Dustin was known as Dragonmarshâs number-one talent. He was young, arrogant, and rebellious. But today, he had transformed into a reserved man, hiding his abilities and talent.
âTen years have passed, and you are still as dignified and graceful as ever,â Dustin complimented. âIâm getting old. Iâm not as imposing as I used to be.â Christopher shook his head with a smile.
âKid, I donât think you came because you missed me. Do you have something to discuss?â
âTo be honest, Iâm here to visit you. But Iâm also here to ask for a favor,â Dustin went straight to the point. He even placed a gift he had prepared on the table as he spoke.
âOh? What is it?â Christopher sipped on his coffee as he smiled. âI heard someone had sent you a Cherusia as a gift. This item is very important to me.
âI hope you can let me have it, and I would willingly pay a high price for it,â Dustin said respectfully.
âThe Cherusia?â Christopher raised an eyebrow slightly. He smiled. âYou have quite the network. But this precious treasure is rare. What do you plan on exchanging it with?â
âGeneral Murray, whatever you need, just let me know,â Dustin responded. âKid, are you married yet?â Christopher asked with a smile.
âI was married, but Iâm divorced now,â Dustin found his question strange, but he replied truthfully.
âThatâs great! Itâs great that youâre divorced!â Christopher smiled as he stroked his beard. âSo, what do you think about Sheila?â
âSheila?â Dustin was surprised.
âSheâs a kind woman with a gentle heart. She is also very loyal to her friends.â âIâm happy to hear that,â Christopher said, still smiling.
âBoth of you are outstanding, and you like each other. Why donât we decide on the date of your marriage now so that I can greet my great-grandchild sooner?
âWhat?â Dustin almost spat out the coffee he had just drank. He exclaimed, âGeneral Murray, youâre joking⦠right?
âThis is an important matter. I would never joke about this,â Christopher said earnestly. âGeneral Murray, you must have misunderstood. I donât have any romantic feelings for Sheila. I think of her as a younger sister,â Dustin explained, perplexed.
They were a total mismatch. How did they end up on this topic? âKid, do you think Sheila is not good enough for you?â Christopherâs smile dropped.
âGeneral Murray, please donât misunderstand. I already have a girlfriend, and we have a great relationship. âAs for Sheila, since sheâs your granddaughter, she deserves better,â Dustin clarified.
âSo, you donât like Sheila?â Christopher frowned slightly. âSheila is a great woman, but I only see her as a sister.â Dustin shook his head.
âVery well. I canât force these matters. Sheâs only a sister if you say so.â Christopher sighed in regret. He knew Sheila had feelings for Dustin and considered pairing them up. way, he would also get himself an outstanding grandson-in-law. That But fate had other plans.
âThank you for understanding.â Dustin was feeling embarrassed. He had come seeking help, but he ended up unintentionally offending the General. Naturally, he felt bad.
âAlright, enough with the pleasantries. Youâre here for the Cherusia, right? Iâll have someone fetch it for you.â Christopher was straight forward and gestured to a helper at the door.
