Chapter 1099 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
When faced with insults from influential figures, the doctors struggled to remain composed. They may not have been as skilled as Rudolph, but they found it hard to tolerate the harsh remarks.
Meanwhile, Lily noticed her husbandâs vital signs had stabilized but wondered why he remained unconscious. âMr. Saunders, when will my husband wake up?â
âDonât worry. Your husband will wake up once I remove these silver needles,â Rudolph reassured her before removing the needles. Suddenly, Cadenâs body trembled, and his bloodshot eyes shot open.
âHeâs awake!â Everyone was relieved.
âThank you, Mr. Saunders! Youâre amazing!â Jayden praised. âYouâre much better than the doctors in Dragonmarsh!â Vivian and others chimed in.
âThank you so much, Mr. Saunders. Iâm so grateful,â Lily exclaimed with joy.
âI specialize in treating unusual diseases, so this was easy for me,â Rudolph boasted. But nobody noticed Cadenâs eyes were bloodshot, and he was writhing in pain. He suddenly screamed and jumped out of bed.
His veins were bulging, and his expression was terrifying. Black blood dripped from his mouth and nose.
âWhat?â Everyone in the room was shocked. âMr. Saunders, whatâs happening? My husband seemed fine just a moment ago,â Lily said anxiously.
âCould it be the side effect of your treatment?â Others exchanged puzzled looks. âStay calm, everyone. This is a normal reaction, and Mr. Caden is fine,â Rudolph reassured them. But he worried his treatment might have triggered Cadenâs sudden aggression.
âWhat should we do now, Mr. Saunders? My husband doesnât seem right,â Lily grew more worried.
âDonât worry. Look how Iâll use this needle to stabilize Mr. Caden.â Rudolph then took a silver needle and aimed it at Cadenâs brow. Caden screamed again, grabbed Rudolphâs neck, and slammed him against the wall.
âWait! Letâs talk-!â Rudolph gasped for air as he attempted to plead for his life. But Caden gripped Rudolphâs neck tightly, and his neck snapped. Rudolph died on the spot.
