Chapter 1106 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Sheila was tied up and unconscious in an abandoned steel factory, her eyes covered with a black cloth. Meanwhile, Diego had a charming smile as he savored good wine and steak.
âMr. Bourbon, our target hasnât shown up. Maybe he wonât come,â a burly red- robed warrior reported.
âDonât rush it. Letâs wait,â Diego said and put down his utensils. He continued, âIâve already looked into it. Dustin has a serious relationship with Sheila. Given his personality, heâll come to rescue her.â
âIâm worried he wonât give up the Cherusia. Should we send our guys to attack the Zephyr Lodge and take the treasure?â the red-robed warrior suggested.
âFools!â Diego scolded. âZephyr Lodge has many strong elites. Even if we succeed, we will lose many of our men.â
âThe fighters from Dragonmarsh arenât very strong, Mr. Bourbon. Youâre giving them too much credit,â the red- robed warrior complained. He believed their battle-tested Kimboku warriors were tougher than Dragonmarsh martial artists.
âDragonmarsh martial artists may not be the best, but they have numbers on their side. Even a strong tiger needs to be careful around a pack of wolves,â Diego reminded.
âI understand,â the red-robed warrior nodded reluctantly. He didnât seem to respect the Dragonmarsh martial artists. It was probably because they werenât important fighters in the past.
Suddenly, a cold voice spoke from nowhere, âAre you waiting for me?â
âWhoâs there?â Everyone became alert and started looking around. A figure emerged from the darkness- it was Dustin. âMr. Rhys, youâve arrived. Iâve been expecting you.â Diego smiled as he greeted Dustin.
âWho are you guys?â
Dustin looked around. He discovered that there were between twenty and thirty people hiding out in the area. Five were elites, and the rest were formidable warriors.
Such force could easily overpower a coalition of wealthy families. âIâm Diego Bourbon, and Iâm delighted to meet you,â Diego said.
âBourbon? Youâre from Kimboku, right? âDustin asked. âYes,â Diego replied. âIâve heard you have the Cherusia. Iâm willing to pay for it. Can we make a deal?â
âWow, you have perfected your Dragonmarshâs accent to a tee. Unfortunately, I canât sell it to you,â Dustin refused.
âIs my offer not good enough? Tell me your price,â Diego insisted, smiling.
âI donât like being threatened. By arranging this meeting like this, youâve already crossed a line. No matter how much money you offer, I wonât sell it to you,â Dustin said firmly. Diego was less than pleased.
