Chapter 1129 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Grimshade was strong, but compared to Jordan, he fell short.â
âJordan? Iâve heard of him, but I doubt he can help you now,â Gage said calmly.
âJordan! Please come out!â Caden shouted in the direction of the mountain. After a long silence and no response, he raised his voice again.
âCaden, thereâs no need to shout. Jordan is already here,â Gage said. He took out a cardboard box and casually tossed it on the ground. The box burst open, and a severed head rolled out. It was a bloody head with white hair, expression frozen in shock and terror.
âIs that⦠Jordan?!â Caden gasped. He backed away several steps, and his face contorted in horror. The others reacted similarly, fear and shock written all over their faces. Horror paralyzed their bodies.
âNo, it canât be! Jordan is dead?â
âJordan was a grandmaster. How could he end up like this? What happened?â
âShit! Itâs over now. If Jordan is dead, the Murray family is in grave danger!â
The members of the Murray family trembled with fear. It was difficult for them to accept the unbelievable sight.
They had never imagined their most powerful asset would meet such a gruesome fate.
âI have to admit, Jordan was strong. If we hadnât ambushed him, it would have been challenging to overpower him,â Gage admitted.
His weak smile sent shivers down the spines of onlookers. It made them realize the true horror of Gageâs plot against the Murray family.
âNo! It canât be!â Caden shook his head in disbelief. âJordan was strong. How could Grimshade manage to kill him?â
âHe wasnât alone,â Gage replied casually. He added, âHave you forgotten that Grimshade and Duskfang have always been inseparable? If Grimshade is here, where do you think Duskfang might be?
âDuskfang?â Cadenâs eyes widened in surprise. âIs he here as well?â Duskfang, a grandmaster like Grimshade, was renowned for his tremendous strength.
âBingo!â Gage snapped his fingers.
Behind him, another figure in a black robe revealed a foreign face- Duskfang, a grandmaster martial artist from Eskus. âIf Grimshade couldnât defeat Jordan, how about him and Duskfang together?
âGage asked with a smirk. Caden felt a sense of despair wash over him. His legs buckled, and he slumped to the floor with a hopeless look on his pale face. He knew that this was the end.
Jordan was dead, and the Murrays had no more cards to play. With Gage backed by two grandmasters, the Murrays had no chance once the fight began.
The Murrays were facing an impending disaster. At that moment, the Murray family and their guests were overwhelmed by despair and a sense of helplessness. No one had expected that the once- proud Murray family would find itself in such a dire predicament.
âFatherâ¦â Gage looked at Christopher with a piercing gaze. âYour pride is broken, and your trust is gone. Now, itâs my turn to be in charge.â
He continued, âExplain what happened in the past, or the Murrays will cease to exist from today onward.â
