An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1132
The whole banquet hall fell into silence. All eyes were on Grimshade, who lay on the floor after just one punch from Dustin. Their eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
Grimshade, renowned as a grandmaster martial artist from Eskus, was knocked to the ground by a single blow from Dustin. It left everyone baffled. How could it be possible?
âWow, that kid really packs a punch, huh?â
âThe skinny guy has it in him?â
âWe shouldnât judge people by their looks.â After a brief silence, a commotion broke out in the hall. What initially appeared as Dustin seeking trouble now seemed to be him hiding his incredible strength.
âCould he be ⦠a grandmaster?â Caden wondered aloud, his eyes widened in shock. Moments ago, he had experienced Grimshadeâs immense power firsthand. One move and Caden was defeated, without a chance to defend himself.
Seeing Dustin defeat Grimshade made Caden suspect that Dustin was at least a grandmaster. In the world of martial arts, only a grandmaster could defeat another grandmaster.
Caden couldnât help but shudder at the thought of a grandmaster in his early twenties. In Balerno, each grandmaster was unique.
When Caden remembered that they had ignored him earlier, he felt a pang of regret. If the Murrays survived this, he knew heâd have to reconsider their relationship with Dustin.
âHmph! Whatâs the big deal? That was just a dirty trick! If Dustin hadnât launched a surprise attack, he never would have been able to defeat Grimshade,â Evan grumbled. He couldnât accept the result.
âExactly! Grimshade was caught off guard, and Dustinâs attack was sneaky. How appalling!â Vivian added. In their eyes, Dustinâs victory was ruined by his surprise attack on an unprepared opponent. It lacked the honor that martial artists should uphold.
Evan and Vivianâs words raised doubts in the crowd. People began to realize that Dustin had indeed struck first, and although he had won, it wasnât an honorable victory.
âI didnât know the Murrays had a hidden gem like him. Iâve underestimated him.â Gage eyed Dustin closely. While most didnât know, Gage knew better. Dustinâs punch had shown the strength of a grandmaster.
Gage knew that a regular martial artist wouldnât have been able to break through Grimshadeâs defenses. The fact that Dustin had defeated Grimshade, even with a surprise attack, demonstrated his incredible strength.
âGage, itâs time to surrender. Your plans will fail today,â Dustin said calmly.
âFail?â Gage laughed as if he had heard a great joke. âYoung man, youâre so full of yourself. Iâve been planning this for five years. Do you really think you can single-handedly thwart my plans?â
âOh? Do you have any tricks up your sleeve?â Dustin asked.
âSo, you want to see my tricks? Fine⦠Iâll show you!â Gage taunted. He held out his hand, and a fist-sized bullet shot out from his sleeve, aiming straight for Dustinâs face.
Dustin narrowed his eyes and raised his hand, fending it off with a punch. An explosion rang out as the black bullet disintegrated.
However, from within the explosion, a golden net shot out. It wrapped around Dustin with lightning speed, holding him firmly.
âHmm?â Dustin frowned. He tried to break free but realized he couldnât escape the golden netâs grip. âWhat in the world⦠is this Dragon Rope?â
