An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1141
Diego had numerous elite assassins by his side. Even the Murraysâ most formidable kill team struggled to make a move.
Although Dustin was skilled, it was impossible for him to eliminate everyone in a matter of seconds. âCut the crap! If you want to save your daughter, then help me right now!â Dustin urged.
âIâll help!â Lily reacted first and hurried over to untie him from the Dragon Rope. Dustin was tightly bound, and brute force wasnât going to help. Lily could only unravel him loop by loop.
âOneâ¦â Right then, Diego had counted down to the final number and was grinning widely.
âSince you wonât drop your weapons, donât blame me for being ruthless!â
With that, he raised the knife in his hands, about to slash Sheilaâs arm.
âStop!â
Enduring the pain, Caden roared and rushed forward. But he was swiftly restrained by the Kimbokuan assassins. At that critical moment, a silver needle shot out with a sharp whistle, precisely hitting Diegoâs sword.
A sharp metallic clang rang out, and Diegoâs sword was knocked out of his hand. It spun in the air before falling to the ground, creating a burst of sparks.
âWho was that?â Diego was both surprised and angry. He quickly hid behind Sheila and signaled the assassins to stand in front of him to guard against any sneak attacks.
âDiego, your time has come! Kneel and surrender, and I will spare your life!â
Dustin slowly stepped out of the loosened Dragon Rope and carefully stowed it away. Such a rare treasure could prove valuable in the future.
âSo, itâs you!â
Diego poked his head out from behind Sheilaâs shoulder. He said with a smile, âMr. Rhys, the Murrays have been against you the entire time, yet youâre still helping them. Is it really worth it?
âIf you work with us, Kimbokuans, I will assure you unimaginable wealth and prosperity!â âIâm not helping the Murrays. I just despise the likes of you.â
Dustin said bluntly, âHow dare you dogs from Kimboku cause trouble in Dragonmarsh? I will kill any Kimbokuan I see!â
âDo you mean thereâs no room for negotiation?â Diegoâs expression darkened. âThere will be⦠once youâre dead.â
With that, Dustin propelled himself forward, turning into a ghostly white shadow. âStop him!â Diego exclaimed in alarm.
âFool!â The Kimbokuan assassins immediately drew their blades and charged toward the ghostly shadow. However, every time they landed an attack, they were instantly sent flying by an overwhelming shockwave.
Regardless of the numbers that charged forward or the weapons they wielded, they couldnât match the might of the ghostly white shadow.
It had left a trail of crippled Kimbokuan assassins in its path and remained untouchable. Diego was horrified at the scene he was witnessing. His legs almost gave way from the fear.
âWait! I have a hostage! If you come any closer, Iâll snap her neck!â Diego grabbed Sheila by the throat as he screamed in desperation.
âDustin! Stop! Donât get my daughter hurt!â Caden roared. âRhys! If anything happens to Sheila, youâre in for a world of trouble!â Vivian and her group shouted.
Right then, another silver needle shot out with a sharp, whistling sound. It narrowly grazed past Sheilaâs ear. With pinpoint accuracy, it embedded itself right in the center of Diegoâs forehead. Diegoâs body quivered, and his face contorted with fear.
In the next instant, an explosion echoed through the room. Diegoâs head had burst open like a ripe watermelon.
