An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1156
âYou⦠youâre shameless!â Florence was so angry her face was flushed as she gritted her teeth. She had meant to flaunt her riches. But the rascal embarrassed her in front of everyone! He was despicable!
âIâve stated my price. Now, you have two options. You either pay the sum I asked for or get lost!â Dustin wasnât in the mood to play nice.
âYouâre too much! Youâve gone overboard!â Florence was livid. Ever since her sudden rise in status, she had never experienced anything as embarrassing as this.
âWhatâs going on?â A tall, lanky man who was all suited up strode over with his head held high. All the restaurantâs security made way for him as soon as he arrived.
The man was Lou Geek, the owner of Aâroma. âLou! Youâre finally here!â Sue was elated when she saw him. She quickly hurried over to his side. Lou was not only her boyfriend but also her powerful backer. He had status, power, and connections.
And most importantly, his connections reached both the authorities and the underworld. There was nothing he couldnât handle with the snap of his fingers.
âWhat happened to your face? Who did it?â Lou frowned when he saw Sueâs swollen face.
âLou, I did what you asked me to. I prepared a private room for Ms. Nicholson, but these ruffians insisted on having it.
âThey even got aggressive when they didnât have their way with things. See, they were the ones who did this to me! My face is ruined!â
Sue sobbed as she told Lou what had happened. Louâs face fell when he heard the whole story. Nobody had dared to cause a scene at Aâroma since the day it opened. Who was the one who had a death wish? How dare he hit his woman?
âMs. Nicholson, Mrs. Nicholson, are you both alright?â Lou did not act up right away. Instead, he walked over to Dahlia and Florence to check on them.
âYouâve come at the right time, Mr. Geek. Someone here is trying to take our room, and heâs making our time here really unpleasant. Iâm incredibly frustrated with everything thatâs going on.
âHow do you propose we handle this?â
Florence demanded as she crossed her arms, giving off an authoritative air. âMrs. Nicholson, all this happened because of the lack of planning on our end. Iâm deeply sorry that your mood has been ruined.
âIâll pay for all your expenses here at Aâroma in the future.â Lou smiled apologetically. âPay for all expenses?â Many among the crowd were surprised to hear that.
Expenditure at Aâroma was quite costly as all their ingredients were top-grade quality. To pay for all their expenses for life was not something everyone could afford to do.
âThat sounds more like it,â Florence huffed. She looked much more appeased after hearing that. However, she continued, âI accept your apology, but I will not forget what happened today. You must give me a satisfactory explanation!â
âOf course, that goes without saying. I promise you will leave this place satisfied.â Lou spoke deferentially, appearing subservient.
But the moment he turned around, his expression immediately darkened. â Who was the one who wanted to take Mrs. Nicholsonâs room? Stand up right this instant!â
âCorrection, I wasnât trying to take it from her. We booked the room first,â Dustin corrected Lou calmly.
âI donât care who booked the room first. If Mrs. Nicholson wants the room, then itâs hers!â Lou said domineeringly.
âWho are you?â Dustin asked.
âIâm the owner of Aâroma. I call the shots here!â Lou declared frostily.
âSo youâre the owner, are you? Have you got no rules here? Donât you know what it means by âfirst come, first servedâ? Donât you know that you should treat your customers equally?â Dustin asked.
âCut the nonsense! What I say goes!â
Lou started to look impatient. âIâm officially declaring that you bunch of ruffians are blacklisted and banned from ever entering Aâroma again!
âFrom this moment on, we will not accept you as customers. So donât even dream of dining here anymore! Now, get the hell out of Aâroma! This is an order!â
