An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1282
âGrandpa, why did you bring a stranger up here again?â Harper frowned, displeased.
âHarper, be nice!â
Brooke said with a stern face, âThis young man just saved Harmony Healers, so heâs our savior. Itâs only polite that I invite him up for a drink.â
âHow did he help us?â Harper looked him up and down with a curious gaze. âWe had a little bit of trouble earlier at the clinic. This young man helped us and saved our reputation.â Brooke said seriously.
If Eleanor really died at Harmony Healers, he feared that Harmony Healersâ reputation wasnât the only thing that would be lost.
âGrandpa, stop joking! We have so many doctors at Harmony Healers. âIs there anything that we canât cure? Do we need extra help?â Harper didnât believe it.
Harmony Healers was very famous. Most hospitals would normally send the patients that they couldnât cure to them. Dustin appeared young. How could he be any better than the doctors at Harmony Healers?
âHarper, donât judge a book by its cover. Dustin may be young, but his skills as a doctor are impressive. He is as good as you are!â Brooke said.
âYou say that every time. Fine, you guys continue. Iâm going back to my room.â Harper didnât want to say too much.
She went back to her room after casting Dustin a side glance, âYoung man, I apologize for my granddaughterâs behavior. I must have been too lenient with her, thus, her rudeness.â Brooke looked helpless.
âItâs alright. Ms. Busch is just being honest.â Dustin smiled.
âHere, have a seat.â Brooke gestured toward a chair. When Dustin sat down, he poured him a glass of water and asked, âYoung man, how may I help you?â
There were only two types of visitors to Harmony Healers. They were usually patients, or they were here to study traditional medicine. Brooke hoped that Dustin was one of the latter.
âDr. Busch, honestly, I came to see you because I wanted to find someone,â Dustin said frankly.
âOh, who is it?â Brooke was curious. âHave you ever heard of someone named Cinna Shaffer?â Dustinâs eyes gleamed hopefully.
âCinna Shaffer?â Brooke was a little taken aback. A glint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he quickly recovered his composure as if nothing had happened. But Dustin noticed this small change.
âYoung man, I donât know anyone named Cinna Shaffer. You must have asked the wrong person.â Brooke shook his head and feigned ignorance.
âYou donât know? But I heard that Cinna Shaffer is here in Harmony Healers?â Dustin narrowed his eyes. âWe receive hundreds of patients daily here at Harmony Healers. I canât recall at once if we have a patient named Cinna Shaffer.â Brooke remained calm.
âItâd be troublesome if you donât even know his whereabouts.â Dustin sighed. âI may not know him, but I can help you ask around. May I know why you are looking for him?â Brooke pried.
âCinna Shaffer is my savior. Iâm looking for him so I can repay his good deeds.â Dustin replied with a serious. expression.
âUnderstood.â
Brooke nodded thoughtfully and continued, âThatâs fine. Iâll keep an eye out for him. âIâll inform you as soon as I have any news about him.â
âYour help is much appreciated.â Dustin stood up and bowed slightly. âYou must be very busy. Iâll get going now. Thank you for your time.â
âPlease.â Brooke stood up with a smile and showed him the way out. He watched Dustin leave and made sure he had gone far before sighing with relief.
âHow could it be? Itâs been ten years, and thereâs still someone looking for Cinna Shaffer?
âCould it be? Could there be a mole?â Brooke murmured as he looked toward the stairs leading to the third floor.
Cinna Shaffer had a sensitive identity. If it were exposed, the whole of Harmony Healers would be destroyed in an instant!
