âI canât believe this is Loganâs calligraphy. Itâs no wonder heâs qualified to transcribe the Emperorâs verses.â
âThe Emperorâs verses and the Kirinâs penmanship. It would be unbelievable if Regal Court still couldnât succeed!â
âAs expected of the Kirin. His calligraphy, penned in his teens, is comparable to esteemed calligraphy masters. What a treasure!â
The students stared at the poem in amazement. They finally realized why Regal Court had such strict entry requirements. With such an invaluable treasure on display, it seemed perfectly justified.
âI heard that the Kirin is not only exceptionally gifted but also incredibly handsome. Heâs also well-versed in both classical and contemporary literature.
âIf only I was lucky enough to meet him!â Harper sighed dreamily, her eyes brimming with admiration. Even though Cody was outstanding in his own right, Logan remained in a league of his own.
Whether it was his family background, personal abilities, or physical attractiveness, Logan was the epitome of perfection. He was the ideal man countless women dreamed of.
In the past, Harper had often daydreamed about marrying Logan. The thought of becoming Loganâs wife was simply enchanting.
âThe same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.â
âWhat a great poem. Simply outstanding! The verses are remarkable, but the calligraphy is even better. He truly deserves to be the unrivaled genius of our time!â
Brooke stroked his beard, uttering only praises.
âDr. Buschâs praises may be a tad exaggerated. The penmanship on this appears somewhat unrefined.â Looking at the poem, Dustin reminisced back to ten years ago.
âHey! What nonsense are you spouting? Harper was irritated upon hearing him. She shouted, âWho do you think you are? How dare you insult the Kirinâs penmanship? You have quite the nerve! Logan was her idol. He had a sacred presence to her. She wouldnât allow him to be insulted like that.
âThatâs right! The Kirinâs penmanship is worth a fortune, but what about you? Youâre not even fit to be in his presence! âCaldwell chimed in.
While the others remained silent, they had strange looks on their faces. The Kirinâs writing had already stood the test of time. Many people had traveled far and wide just to witness its brilliance.
After seeing it, they were even more impressed. It was penmanship that had earned the admiration of various calligraphy masters. But Dustin was calling it unrefined?
What a cocky man.
âI was just stating facts. Why are all of you getting so worked up?â Dustin was puzzled. His handwriting ten years ago was indeed unrefined compared to now. What was the fuss about?
âStating facts? Youâre just spouting nonsense!â Harper was furious.
âYou clearly donât know anything, yet youâre shameless enough to give criticism. People like you are truly despicable!â
âHmph! I think someone here is just jealous and trying to discredit the Kirinâs handwriting!â Caldwell sneered.
âDustin, be careful with your words. If it spreads, it might land you in big trouble,â Cody warned. Was this guy out of his mind? He actually dared discredit the Kirin while at Regal Court? Was he trying to get himself killed?
âRhys! You arrogant prick! Didnât you say the Kirinâs penmanship was bad? Well, why donât you pen a new piece exactly like this poem? Letâs see just how great you are!â Harper said angrily.
