Chapter 1354 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âAlright, we got it sorted out. Letâs put our differences aside and have a good time together.â Cody chuckled, exchanging a secretive look with Pablo.
Pablo quickly caught on, stepped into the crowd, and shouted, âHey, bastard! You dare to threaten me? Youâre asking for trouble! Someone, grab him!â
Instantly, the group of gangsters in suits surrounded Dustin.
âHold on!â
Lana abruptly stepped in front of Dustin. âMr. Hans, we had a deal. Why are you resorting to violence now?â
âHumph! I agreed before, but now Iâve changed my mind,â Pablo declared. âYouâve got a reputation to uphold, so youâre not afraid of public criticism?â Lana frowned.
âCriticism?â Pablo scoffed.
âThis is my turf. After Iâm done with this kid and have my way with you, Iâll keep all this under wraps. No one will ever find out.â
âYo-youâre so shameless!â Lana exclaimed.
âIâll tell I you what Iâve got in store. When we get closer later, youâll get it,â Pablo leered.
âPablo, Iâve given you a chance. If you threaten me again, Iâll make you regret it,â Dustin said indifferently. Of course, he didnât believe what Cody and Pablo were saying. He was just testing the waters.
If the two of them genuinely wanted to patch things up, he could pretend it never happened. Unfortunately, a leopard cannot change its spots.
âRegret?â
Pablo roared fiercely, âBastard! I walked into your trap earlier. Do you still think you can turn the tables?
âYou can try it all you want!â Pablo snarled as he saw Dustin stand there with his hands behind his back, unfazed.
âDamn! Iâm sure you wonât back down until youâre dead! Get him now!â Pablo gave the order.
âTake him down!â The gang of gangsters swarmed at Dustin.
âDustin, leave them to me!â Maximus sneered and transformed into a ghostly shadow, crashing into the crowd.
Within a few seconds, the air was filled with screams and cries of outrage.
Maximus displayed the prowess of a seasoned martial artist and was in complete control of the fight. Under Dobsonâs tutelage, Maximus honed his skills to the level of a divinity master.
Although the gangsters from the Golden Balcony had some basic combat skills, they couldnât hold a candle to a martial arts master.
Within five minutes, most of them were sprawling on the ground. âHmph! This was easy!â Maximus scoffed and crossed his arms, not breaking a sweat.
âHo-how is this possible?â Pabloâs eyes widened in alarm at the sight of his wounded henchmen.
He had assumed he had the advantage, thinking he could just take back his words. He didnât realize that Dustin had a highly skilled master at his side.
âWho is this guy? Heâs too powerful!â Cody was frightened. He had assumed Maximus was just a harmless attendant and had given no thought to his presence.
âHeâs fighting dozens of people on his own. Is he even human?â Harper couldnât believe her eyes.
Movies donât make scenes like this, do they?
âOf course, he was so confident. He had the protection of a skilled master.â
Lana was surprised but relieved. Just a moment ago, she thought their situation would be dire. But suddenly, things had taken a promising turn.
