Chapter 1372 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Ezraâs brows furrowed as he looked at Dustin bitterly,
âAh, so youâre Dustin,â Alistair said, recognizing Dustin. After all, the recent family event, especially the Dew Balm formula debacle, was still fresh in his mind.
âMr. Welch, I heard that your father is suffering from hysteria. Would you mind if I take a look?â Dustin offered with genuine concern. Alistair eyed the young Dustin skeptically. âYou?â
He thought, âDr. Busch may have recommended you, but you donât exactly strike me as an expert.â
âDustin, thatâs kind of you, but we already have Sir Crane helping us. No need for you to trouble yourself,â Joanne interjected.
âDid you hear that? With Sir Crane here, we donât need you,â Ezra added with a sneer.
âYoung man, donât play around when a personâs life is at stake. Itâs no time for you to fool around,â Theodore warned sternly.
âDustin, let it be.â Brooke shook his head. He knew that saying anything now wasnât wise. âVery well. Since Sir Crane is so confident, I wonât insist. Please, go ahead.â Dustin gestured, yielding. If Theodore could truly cure Welch Senior, Dustin was content with that.
âHmph! At least you know your place.â Theodore glanced indifferently at Dustin before entering Welch Seniorâs room. Soon, the others followed suit. They walked quietly and cautiously.
âWhat is this?â Theodore scanned the room, his brows furrowing in displeasure. âWhy is Mr. Welch Senior tied up? Donât you know this will interfere with treatment? Untie him immediately!â
âSir Crane, you may not be aware of the full situation. When my dadâs condition takes a dark turn, he becomes uncontrollable and aggressive. We had no choice but to restrain him,â Alistair explained. The memories of his fatherâs violent fits still haunted him.
âDonât worry. With me here, Mr. Welch Senior wonât pose a threat. Please, untie him,â Theodore assured them confidently. Alistair hesitated momentarily, then glanced at Joanne, who gave a confirming nod.
âUntie my dad!â
âRight away, sir,â The two Welch family members responded in unison. They quickly untie Welch Senior.
âSir Crane, untying Mr. Welch Senior might not be a wise move. If his hysteria happens, you could be in danger,â Dustin cautioned.
âRidiculous! Iâve faced much bigger challenges. A mere hysteria wonât trouble me.â Crane scoffed.
âDustin, you may be inexperienced, but Sir Crane isnât. Observe and learn. Maybe youâll learn something valuable, Ezra taunted.
âIs that so? Iâll be watching closely, then,â Dustin replied with a shrug, choosing not to engage further. Once the restraints were removed, Theodore approached the Welch Senior. He examined Welch Seniorâs eyes, mouth, tongue, and teeth and conducted a basic examination on him..
âIf Iâm not mistaken, the patient has fallen prey to witchcraft, which has disturbed his mind and triggered these bouts of hysteria,â Theorore stated.
Impressed, Alistair praised him and inquired, âWell done, as expected of a real expert. Is there a solution to it, Sir Crane?â
âA mere lower-level witchcraft wonât pose any challenge. Iâll easily dispel it with a talisman,â Theodore replied casually. Then, he took out a yellow talisman paper adorned with mysterious symbols from his pouch.
âAmazing!â Alistair exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. âSir Crane, please proceed with the treatment. Afterward, we will reward you handsomely.â
âOf course.â Theodore nodded in satisfaction. He teasingly pointed the talisman at Dustin. âYoung man, pay close attention as I break this malevolent spell.â
He confidently slapped the yellow talisman paper onto Welch Seniorâs forehead. Suddenly, Welch Seniorâs body jerked, and he opened his eyes.
