Chapter 1437 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âMs. Welch, are you threatening me?â Gretaâs face darkened at Eleanorâs aggressive tone, and her eyes turned sharp.
The Dawson family had vast sales channels and significant influence in the pharmaceutical industry. It was reasonable to offer a profit share of 40 to 50 percent in a partnership, especially given the quality of the product in question.
But Eleanor was acting as if she was the one doing them a favor; she clearly didnât understand the capabilities of the Dawson family.
It was an insult to the Dawsons for Eleanor to offer only ten percent profit. Her behavior was akin to trying to deceive the Dawson family, treating them as if they were naive.
âMs. Dawson, please donât misunderstand. Eleanor is just kidding. Ezra quickly attempted to defuse the situation, making eye contact with Eleanor, who seemed to miss the cues,
Damn it! Was Eleanor out of her mind? Earlier, they had agreed on a 30 percent profit, and now she was trying to squeeze Greta down to just ten percent. This wasnât a negotiation; it was downright daylight robbery!
The Dawson family was one of the big players in the industry; they were way above the Welch and Swanson family in many aspects. They were the undisputed leaders in the medical field; messing with a giant like them was plain stupidity.
âKidding?â Greta snorted, her gaze cold, âIt doesnât look like a joke, judging by Ms. Welchâs attitude.â
âMs. Dawson,â Eleanor began, âWise decisions are what make a successful leader. Weâre generous enough to offer you ten percent profit.
âOur Rejuvenaid is bound to become a sensation, and no one can stand in its way. You must be aware of the potential losses the Dawson Family might suffer if you miss out on this opportunity.â
She thought, âAccording to our agreement, profits should be divided equally between our two families.
âGiving the Dawson Family 30 percent would leave only 35 percent for the Welch and Swanson family, which doesnât seem fair.â
Eleanor believed this offer was more than generous, considering the Dawson Family had yet to contribute anything but sales. The miraculous effects of Rejuvenaid were certain to drive sales, so why should she offer such a big amount to the Dawson Family?
In her opinion, ten percent was already a good offer: any amount above five percent was more than reasonable.
âSince your Rejuvenaid is so exceptional, why come to the Dawson Family? Youâre more than welcome to seek collaboration elsewhere,â Greta retorted coldly.
âWeâre offering you an opportunity, Ms. Dawson. Most companies would kill for the chance to represent Rejuvenaid,â Eleanor replied, maintaining her arrogance.
Greta quickly declined, saying, âThank you, but Iâm not interested. I have other matters to attend to. I wonât see you out.â
âMs. Dawson-â
âI said enough. Please leave!â Ezra was about to speak but was abruptly interrupted by Greta.
The Dawson Family had never been humiliated like this before. It was just a single medication, and it was absurd. she would think it could threaten the Dawson Familyâs position.
At most, it would cause a small loss, but it was a minor disturbance the Dawson Family could handle.
âThis decision of yours, Greta Dawson, do you even realize the extent of the losses it will bring to your family business? You should think long and hard,â Eleanor said with a slight frown.
This woman was utterly shameless, in Gretaâs opinion.
âEven if the Dawson Family suffers significant losses, itâs none of your concern. If you expect us to be your stepping stone, you can forget it!â Greta responded firmly, shocking Eleanor.
Eleanor had never encountered such rejection and was surprised that Greta preferred her company to suffer loss rather than collaborate with them.
