Chapter 1441 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Inside a speeding Maserati, Eleanor was seated in the back. She poured herself a glass of red wine, which she chugged down. Her beautiful face was now tainted with anger and bitterness.
âThose damn Dawson siblings!â Eleanor fumed. âKicking us out? Iâll make them pay for this!â
âEleanor, take it easy. Dealing with the Dawson family wonât be a cakewalk. Letâs not make this worse,â Ezra advised.
âHmph! Weâre part of Oakvaleâs eight great families and a force to be reckoned with! We shouldnât fear them, âEleanor argued.
âItâs not that I fear them; itâs just unnecessary to stir up trouble.â Ezra shook his head.
If the strengths of the Welch and Swanson families combined, it would give them an edge over the Dawsons. But if they faced the Dawsons head-on, it would only result in mutual damage.
âI still think itâs necessary!â Eleanor responded with determination in her eyes.
âIn a competition of willpower, we should stand our ground. With Rejuvenaid at our disposal, we can use this opportunity to pressure the Dawson family.â
âIndeed, Rejuvenaid can deal them a significant setback, but it wonât be a knockout punch,â Ezra pondered.
âIn fact, our original plan was that we would start by collaborating with the Dawsons. Then, when the time was right, we could seize their market share. That would have been a wiser approach.â
If it werenât for Eleanorâs stubbornness, pushing the profit share to the minimum, the Dawson family would never have resorted to such a drastic measure. Eleanor raised an eyebrow, looking surprised. âSo, youâre blaming me for this?â
âOf course not. Iâm not blaming you,â Ezra quickly clarified.
âThe blame lies mainly with the Dawson siblings for not recognizing our generosity. They were unappreciative and disrespectful.â
âAlright, I see your point,â Eleanor conceded, her expression softening.
âEleanor, I noticed Bo appeared confident. What if they already have a plan in place?â Ezra suddenly brought up. Eleanor scoffed. âTheir Dawsonâs Healing Balm doesnât hold a candle to our Rejuvenaid. How could they possibly fight back?â
But then Eleanor paused as if a thought had struck her. âWait a second⦠I think we might have forgotten someone. âYou mean⦠Dustin?â Ezra quickly caught on.
âYes,â Eleanor nodded seriously, âWith all the recent turmoil, we nearly forgot about him!
âWe have the Rejuvenaid formula, but so does Dustin. If the Dawson family gets their hands on him, weâd lose our advantage!â
âIndeed, this guy is a ticking time bomb.â Ezra squinted his eyes.
âI asked you to hire some experts to deal with him. Howâs that going?â
Eleanor asked.
âTheyâre on their way, and I expect them to arrive tonight,â Ezra replied.
âVery well, letâs deal with Dustin as soon as possible to avoid further complications,â Eleanor said, her gaze cold.
âUnderstood! This time, he wonât escape.â Ezra clenched his fists. Getting rid of Dustin was rather easy; all they needed was a skilled assassin. However, family interests required him to be captured alive, interrogated for any valuable information, and then, disposed of.
For this matter, the occult master from the Mystic Arts Order was the ideal choice. In a villa in South City, Cinna lay unconscious on a bed, his face pale, his body emaciated. His breath was faint, like a flickering candle in the wind, ready to extinguish at any moment.
Dustin stood by the bedside, administering acupuncture and infusing Cinna with pure energy.
Not long ago, Cinnaâs condition had suddenly worsened, and he was on the brink of death. Dustin had intervened in time, using his true energy to extend Cinnaâs life and pull him back from the brink of death.
âPhewâ¦â Soon, Dustin let out a long sigh of relief, finally stabilizing Cinnaâs condition. At this moment, he was drenched in sweat, having expended tremendous energy.
âDustin, how is Mr. Shaffer? Is he going to be alright?â
