A group of the deceased’s family members, who were all dressed in black, began to wail and clamor. They shouted, cried, and roared. The commotion attracted a huge crowd around them.

Some who didn’t know the full story began commenting based on what they saw. They reached for their cell phones and began recording videos of what was happening, ready to post them on social media. The place descended into utter chaos!

Lana frowned. Her expression didn’t look too good. She had expected that things would not run smoothly for the launch, but she didn’t expect it to get so messy.

She couldn’t get violent with them or scold them for what they were doing. There also wasn’t much point in explaining things. So, she was at a loss for how to handle the situation.

“Lana, I had thought that the Dew Balm was some sort of miraculous ointment. But it turns out that it’s a poisonous substance!”

Eleanor said sarcastically, “I thought the Camrons was a decent and reputable family.

“Who would have known that you’d stoop so low and do something so horrendous just for money! I’m so disappointed in you!”

“That’s right!” Ezra echoed, “We’re selling medication to help others, but look at you! What you’re doing is heartless, inhumane, and downright something that only scums would do!”

“We cannot let such toxic substances harm more people! It needs to be banned immediately!”

“Ban the Camrons! Ban Dew Balm!”

Agitated, the crowd began chanting.

“Please calm down, everyone,” Matteo finally spoke up. “There hasn’t been a clear investigation on the matter yet. It is far too early to jump to conclusions.

“I hope you can all give us some time to look into it. We promise that we will get to the bottom of it all!”

“Investigation my ass!” the man roared, “We have solid, irrefutable evidence here!

“You have only two options now. A life for a life, or admit your wrongdoings and give us a public apology! Then, pay us for our loss!”

Even Matteo frowned at that. There was no way they were going to pay with their lives. But if they admitted to it and apologized openly, they would be ruining themselves.

If they did so, not only would Dew Balm be banned, but there would also be huge blow to the Camron family’s reputation. They were clearly out to destroy the Camrons!

“Mr. Camron, this is your final chance to make a choice. Will you accept my conditions?” Alistair chose to speak up at this opportune moment. “You want us to give in to you? In your dreams!” Lana turned him down in a heartbeat.

She stood her ground and told them, I’ll be frank here. Even if we aren’t selling Dew Balm, you won’t be getting the formula!”

“Fine! You brought this all on yourself! “Alistair snickered and said nothing more. Then, Joaquin, who stood behind him, quietly pulled out his cell phone and made a call.

Soon, several black vans that had been lying in wait just around the corner zoomed up to them. The doors to the vans opened, and a hoard of reporters swarmed in. They immediately surrounded Lana, asking her all sorts of questions.

Flashes from cameras flashed continuously, and video cameras were pointed right at Lana.

“Ms. Camron, we have received information that someone had died after using the Dew Balm. Is that true?”

“Ms. Camron, you are selling toxic substances and breaking the law just for profit. Do you have a strong backer backing you up for you to be able to do this?”

“Viewers, we have received first-hand news that a subsidiary of the Camron Group is involved in manufacturing harmful drugs, which had resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man. We are reporting to you live from the scene…”

The reporters began asking questions non-stop. And with just some simple words, they seem to have confirmed that it was all the Camrons’ doing. All the comments were biased.

The flashes of the cameras blinded Lana, causing her to lose her composure. She had no idea how to answer their questions.
