Chapter 1482 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âTake her away for interrogation!â Elara ordered. With a wave of her hand, two of her subordinates dragged the waitress away. They couldnât let any suspect escape in a situation like this.
âBoth of you, check if there was any stranger in the kitchen tonight with the kitchen staff.
âAs for the both of you, check the surveillance footage. Make sure you check every single person who came into the restaurant tonight.â
Elara wasted no time in giving out orders. Boâs bodyguards immediately did as they were told.
âMr. Dawson, all this was my mistake. I almost caused a disaster. Iâll gladly accept any punishment.â Elara apologized with a bow.
âIt wasnât your fault. Who would have expected such a wicked method?â Bo appeared stern.
âHave you upset anyone lately?â Lana asked suddenly.
âNo one that I can think of.â Bo shook his head. âI rarely go out in public, so I havenât had the chance to upset anyone. Boâs eye suddenly twitched as he uttered, âHold on! Could it be the Welch and Swanson families?
âWe caused them a substantial loss today, and theyâre upset about it. Could this be their attempt at revenge?â
âThatâs possible!â Lana nodded in agreement. Judging from Eleanor and Ezraâs personalities, they would never give up easily, especially after suffering a huge loss. She just didnât think that it would come this soon.
âWhat do you think, Dustin?â Bo turned to look at him and asked.
âWhat else is there to think about? Other than the Welch and Swanson families who are in cahoots, I couldnât think of anyone else who is this petty.â Dustin gave a noncommittal comment.
âFuck! These animals are really behind this!â Bo slammed the table angrily, shouting, âElara, gather our people! Iâm going to confront them now!â
âThereâs no need to rush.â Dustin raised his hand to stop them.
âIf you confront them openly, they would never admit to it. Do you really want to go to war with the Welch and Swanson families?â
âWhat should I do then? I donât want to let this slide easily.â Bo was pissed. He was not one to tolerate nonsense. After all, an eye for an eye.
âOf course not.â Dustin replied calmly, âIf they prefer to stay in the dark, then we shall meet them there.â
âReally? What do you have in mind?â Bo was immediately intrigued. The mystic arts were much more terrifying than normal assassination attempts.
It was not something that could be prevented. The only way was to find the culprit as soon as possible to end the curse.
âIf my guess is right, the person who cast this spell should have a mother worm whose only purpose is to reproduce. Thereâs a unique bond between the person casting the spell and the mother worm.
âI can use the zombie worm to locate the mother worm. With that, Iâll be able to find the mastermind,â Dustin commented calmly.
âAlright! Weâll do it this way then!â Bo slapped the table. âDustin, feel free to let me know whenever you need help.â
âYou donât have to do anything. You should just go home and sleep.â Dustin replied.
âWhat? Sleep?â Bo was caught off guard and confused. Lana and Elara looked at each other, perplexed.
âThe enemy is in the dark, and weâre in the light. Youâd tip them off if you show any reaction toward it. Just let me deal with this. This curse was meant for me anyway.â
As he finished his sentence, Dustin took a glass filled with zombie worms and chugged it immediately.
