Chapter 1499 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Julieâs expression shifted as she snapped back, âY-Youâre out of line!â
She added, âRhys! Iâm with the Moseys now. I canât believe youâd be disrespectful. Do you have a death wish?
Unfazed, Dustin shot back, âCut the crap. Weâve known each other for a while. Iâve got you figured out.â
âNonsense!â Julie glared, roaring, âYou insolent dog! With my status, youâll never make the cut! I order you to kneel and apologize or face the consequences!
âDream on.â Dustin scoffed.
âYou think climbing the social ladder gives you the right to be a bully?â
âSo what if Iâm a bully? Do you dare go against the Moseys?â Julie proudly displayed a gold badge. âRhys! Take a good look. What is this?â
âSir Moseyâs badge?â With a knowing grin, Dustin asked, âDid you steal it?â
The accusation caught Julie off guard, and she struggled to stay composed. The fact was that she actually stole it from Dahliaâs room.
She thought she could flex a bit with it, but things didnât go as planned when she ran into the headstrong Dustin. She forcefully denied, âNonsense! This badge is clearly mine!â
âReally? Then tell me, whatâs your relationship with Sir Mosey? Why would he give you this badge?â Dustin persisted.
âNone of your business! Why should I explain Sir Moseyâs actions to a nobody like you?â Julie retorted fiercely.
âHey, watch your tone. If you donât show respect to Sir, I might tear your mouth apart,â Abigail calmly warned. Though her demeanor remained composed, her eyes were threatening.
Julie felt a chill down her spine and toughened up. âYouâre trying to intimidate me? Do you know who I am? Do you know who stands behind me? I can make the two of you disappear with a word from me!â
âYou can try.â Abigail suddenly smiled, her eyes carrying a fierce determination.
âAlright! You asked for this!â Julie raised her hand, ordering, âMen! Arrest these two insolent fools!â
âYes!â Following her orders, a group of burly bodyguards menacingly closed in. âThis fool is incredibly bold! He actually dares to challenge the Moseys. Doesnât he fear death?â
âI bet he has no idea how terrifying the Moseysâ influence is. This is just the inexperienced challenging the powerful!â
The crowd whispered, believing Dustinâs actions had pushed him to the brink of doom. Even elite members of the Carmen family bowed to Julie, let alone a seemingly poor guy like Dustin.
In the midst of the hushed murmurs and Julieâs bodyguards who were ready to pounce, Lana, dressed in provocative attire and joined by a small crew, boldly entered the hall, shouting, âStop!â
