Chapter 1509 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âDustin, did you hear that? Get on your knees and apologize to me. Then, pay me 300 million in compensation for my mental distress.
âOtherwise, Iâll make sure you stay in prison forever!â Julieâs hands were on her hips, appearing domineering. With her cousin backing her, she had nothing to fear.
Julie might be a fake heiress, but her cousin was Sir Moseyâs favored god- daughter. He had entrusted over half of his businesses to her.
Dahliaâs current status was no less than that of Dragonmarshâs princess. Everyone had to treat her with respect. Dustin might be capable, but he was nothing in front of Dahlia.
âRhys! Dahlia is a prominent figure among the Moseys. Youâd better think about your situation carefully!â Elena sneered, looking pleased with the turn of events..
Once Dustin apologized, she would take the opportunity to humiliate him. If he resisted, that would be even better. Because once he angered Dahlia, there would be no way out for him!
Dahlia wouldnât even need to take action herself. There were plenty of people willing to lend a helping hand.
âOh, Dustin, werenât you pretty arrogant earlier? Finally, youâve met your match. Letâs see how long you can keep that arrogance of yours!â Eleanor muttered to herself, her gaze filled with malice.
âHandsome, why donât we just apologize? Otherwise, we might get into huge trouble. Being humiliated is better than losing our lives,â Lana advised softly.
She knew about Dahlia and Scott. Both of them were the core members of the Mosey family. They were powerful and influential and could dispatch the Mosey family forces freely.
Dahlia, in particular, controlled over half of the Moseysâ businesses and was set to inherit Seamusâs legacy. Lana couldnât afford to offend such powerful people.
âDustin! Iâm giving you an opportunity right now, donât be stubborn!â Dahlia ordered coldly. The act of poisoning is no small matter. But if Dustin admitted his mistake sincerely, she might consider letting the matter go.
However, if he remained stubborn, she wouldnât bother showing mercy.
âIâm sick and tired of these words. The truth is clear to everyone present, so I wonât bother explaining further,â Dustin said indifferently.
âIf you think I was wrong, so be it. As for apologizing and making amends, forgive me for being unable to do so. Iâve never had the habit of submitting to others.â
âA real man will apologize when theyâve done wrong. Your behavior is no different than a coward!â Dahlia rebuked.
She wouldnât have said anything if it were anyone else. However, she felt a sense of resentment toward Dustin for failing to meet her expectations. She had hoped he would come to his senses rather than persist in his misguided courage.
âDahlia, thereâs no need to waste your breath on people like him. Just have him apprehended,â Scott suddenly sneered.
He continued, âPeople like him only bully the weak. Heâll come to his senses once we throw him into Azkaban.â
âThatâs right! Apprehend him and throw him into Azkaban!â Julie and the other two women chimed in.
âHey now Youâd better not try anything foolish.â
Abigail stepped forward with a smile and said, âIf you dare touch a hair on Sirâs head, Iâll kill all of you! And Iâll make sure it will be a very painful death.
Eleanor and Elena instinctively took two steps backward. They were still traumatized by their previous experience. This crazy woman couldnât be dealt with using common sense. If they pushed too hard, it would only land them in trouble.
âOutrageous!â
Julie glared at her and yelled cowardly, âYou crazy witch! Do you know who youâre talking to? This is my cousin. She is also Sir Moseyâs god-daughter! Threatening her is akin to suicide!â
âIs that so?â Abigail grinned and flicked her wrist, sending a black pill straight into Julieâs throat.
