Chapter 1512 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âHey, handsome, it seems like weâve landed ourselves in big trouble.â Lana looked worried as she watched them depart.
âDealing with the Forrest and Welch families might be manageable with Mr. Dawson backing us up, but the Moseys are a different story.
âBoth Dahlia and Scott are not individuals we can afford to offend.â She wasnât too concerned about Dahlia since she had a good reputation and usually lived up to her promises. She probably wouldnât hold this matter against them.
However, Scott was different. He had a notorious reputation in the business world, known for his vengeful nature and relentless pursuit of his goals. Offending a powerful man like him would undoubtedly bring them trouble.
âThereâs no need to worry, Ms. Camron. Weâre responsible for this mess. Itâll likely be directed at us if they come looking for trouble. The company wonât be affected,â Dustin said.
âHandsome, Iâm not worried about implicating the company. I meant that you should stay out of the limelight to avoid retaliation,â Lana advised.
âHow long would I need to avoid them? It wouldnât solve anything in the long run. Besides, Iâm not afraid of them retaliating.â
Dustin continued indifferently, âIf they choose to let it go, then this matter would be put to rest. But if they insist on fighting till the end, Iâll make them regret it.â
âThatâs right!â Abigail grinned. She continued excitedly, âIf they try anything reckless, Iâll poison them all to death!â
âI see âLana paled. She was at a loss for words. Common sense seemed to be a foreign concept to this crazy girl. Was she going to poison members of the Mosey family? If she unleashed her full madness, nothing could stop her.
âAbigail, be careful when using your poison in the future.â Right then, Dustin said seriously.
âI wonât interfere with your decisions, but I hope you wonât lose yourself.â As his only student, he didnât wish for her to turn into a murderous maniac.
âOkay, okay, I got it!â Abigail hooked her arm around Dustinâs and said cheekily, âIâll be careful in the future. I wonât randomly kill innocent people. I promise!â
âAs long as you understand,â Dustin replied with a faint smile. He then turned his attention to Lana.â Ms. Camron, this is my student. Sheâs here to place orders for Dew Balm. Can you give her a discount?â
âWhat do you mean? Weâre practically family now. Thereâs no need for a discount. Just take it for free,â Lana offered generously.
âHehe! Thank you, beautiful lady!â Abigail cheered, her face lighting up.
âFavors are favors, and business is business. You canât just give it away for free. Letâs at least charge her the production costs,â Dustin said seriously.
Abigail pouted immediately. She said pitifully, âDustin, Iâm very poor. My family is in dire straits. Canât you do me a favor? Iâm begging you!â
âYou little money enthusiast. Even if youâre poor, do you lack these meager stuff?â Dustin was exasperated.
âOf course, I lack them! Do you know how expensive it is to produce poison? I only have a few pennies left on me,â Abigail said with a weak, pitiful look.
âAlright, alright. I already said itâs for free. In the worst case, Iâll cover the expenses myself!â Lana supported her strongly.
âBeautiful lady, youâre the best!â Upon hearing her, Abigail brightened and hugged Lanaâs arm.
She made a face at Dustin. âDustin, Iâm underage. How can you haggle with a minor? Youâre such a stingy man!â
âThatâs right! Very stingy indeed!â Lana joined in, trying hard to suppress her laughter. Dustin appeared helpless as he listened to their banter. He was just about to say something when his phone rang.
