Chapter 1519 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Looking at that detestable face of the past, Dustin frowned. He had expected to encounter familiar faces at this place. And the whole reason he disguised himself was to avoid having his identity exposed.
However, he never expected to cross paths with Florence and her group in such an unfortunate manner. Fortunately, she didnât recognize him. Intending to diffuse the situation, Dustin apologized, âIâm sorry for not paying attention just now. Are you hurt?
âHmph! You must be blind!â
Florence dusted herself off as she got up from the ground. She shouted arrogantly, âDo you know who I am? How dare you run into me? You must be tired of living!â
Her social standing was no longer what it was before. Anyone who offended her now was essentially seeking their demise.
âHey! You were the one who didnât watch where you were going! How can you be so unreasonable and blame us when you were the one who ran into us? âAbigail was indignant.
âWho the hell are you? How dare you point fingers at me?â
Florence glared at Abigail, her tone becoming more aggressive. âI order you to apologize to me right now and compensate me for my mental distress. Otherwise, Iâll make sure you regret it!â
âHaha⦠Trying to intimidate us, are we? If we donât, what are you going to do about it?â Abigail smirked.
âYou wench! How dare you talk back? Do you know what Iâm going to do to you?â Florence was aggressive.
âA word of advice-apologize and pay up. Otherwise, youâll be in big trouble!â Suddenly, Julie, who was standing beside Florence, spoke up.
The Moseysâ mansion was their territory. No matter the person, everyone was expected to obediently comply with their orders.
âIâm sorry for my carelessness. I hope you wonât hold it against us. Iâm willing to compensate for your distress,â Dustin said humbly.
Under normal circumstances, he wouldnât have backed down. However, he had more important things to attend to today and was eager to pull himself out of this situation and this shrew of a woman.
âYour apology wonât cut it! She needs to apologize too!â
Florence pointed at Abigail and demanded, âShe was disrespectful to me earlier and must be responsible for her actions!â
âAbigail, apologize,â Dustin signaled.
âFine, I was wrong. I spoke out of turn and offended you. Iâm sorry, okay?â Abigail apologized reluctantly.
âHmph! Do you think a simple apology is enough? What do you take me for?â
Florence cocked her head up and demanded arrogantly, âI want you to kneel and apologize to me. Then slap yourself ten times. Only then will I let you go!â
Dustin frowned. This shrew was really pushing it. Did she really think she was nobility?
âHey! Iâm warning you. Donât push it.â Abigail narrowed her eyes. If Florence didnât appreciate her apology, she didnât mind giving her a lesson.
âHmph! So what if I do? Iâm a distinguished guest here, and my daughter is Sir Moseyâs goddaughter.â What makes you insignificant people think you can challenge me?â Florence asked, hands on her hips.
The commotion had attracted the attention of quite a few people. And the distinguished guests had broken out into whispers.
âLady, itâs Sir Moseyâs birthday celebration today. We bear no grudges against each other, so how about we resolve this peacefully? We wouldnât want to spoil Sir Moseyâs mood,â Dustin tried to persuade her.
âCut the crap! I told you to apologize! Donât make me lose my temper!â Florence screamed, completely disregarding the occasion.
âIf you insist on being this unreasonable, I have nothing more to say. I have a clear conscience, and I di refuse to believe you will make a scene here,â Dustin stated coldly.
He had been extremely tolerant, even lowering himself to apologize.
