Chapter 1527 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
With its head forcefully pressed into the ground, the Onyxclawâs furious roars were deafening. Its body thrashed wildly, and its limbs pounded the ground incessantly, sending gravel flying and leaving claw marks everywhere.
However, regardless of how hard it thrashed, it couldnât break free. Dustin stood like an immovable force, completely subduing the beast.
The crowd was dumbfounded by what they were seeing. Nobody expected Dustin to be so strong that he could subdue the immensely powerful Onyxclaw on his own.
Just moments ago, even a dozen fully armed guards had failed to deal with the ferocious beast, showcasing its formidable nature. After all, to be able to serve the Veros Warrior, one would certainly have to be an exceptional fighter.
Despite the creatureâs overwhelming strength, Dustin, a seemingly unremarkable young man, effortlessly controlled it. The astonishment among the spectators was palpable.
âRoar!â
âRoar!â
âRoar!â
The Onyxclaw continued roaring and struggling relentlessly. Its crimson eyes were fixed onto Dahlia as they burned with madness.
âYou evil beast!â Dustin snorted disdainfully and raised his foot once more, stomping down forcefully.
The Onyxclawâs head sank further from the powerful impact. Cracks spread across the ground within a radius of ten meters, resembling a vast spiderweb.
The Onyxclawâs roars gradually diminished with the severe blow, and its massive body seemed to lose its strength. It finally stopped struggling. Only heavy panting and mournful sounds remained.
âQuick! Lock it up!â It was only then that Anders instructed someone to lend a hand.
The exhausted Onyxclaw was soon securely bound with chains and dragged into a specially-made iron cage. Finally, the cage was covered with a black cloth, concealing its fierce appearance. After making sure that there was no longer any danger, the crowd breathed a sigh of relief.
That was close!
When the Onyxclaw suddenly went berserk, it had been unstoppable. Fortunately, a brave soul had stepped up and intervened. Otherwise, many more might have been injured or killed.
âGodfather, I failed to tame the Onyxclaw well and caused people to be hurt. Please, punish me!â Anders didnât hesitate to kneel and take responsibility.
Seamus frowned slightly before quickly regaining his composure. He said calmly, âItâs alright. A beast is still a beast. They are hard to tame in nature. You are not to blame for an accident like this.
âHowever, you must send those injured to receive the best medical care promptly. Do not neglect the situation.â
âThank you for your forgiveness, Godfather. I will surely make amends for my mistakes!â Anders then immediately instructed his men to clear up the scene.
The Onyxclaw was soon brought away. All the injured people, including Julie, were sent to the hospital to be treated.
As for the guards who had lost their lives, they received honorary medals along with substantial compensation for their families. It appeared as if the issue had been dealt with, but it had sparked a small commotion within the ballroom.
âItâs strange. Why did the Onyxclaw suddenly go berserk? Isnât it supposed to be intelligent?â
âI heard that Onyxclaws donât randomly attack people. They only attack traitors and wicked people.â
âWasnât the woman who was attacked Sir Moseyâs most recent goddaughter? Could she be harboring wicked intentions?â
Whispers and speculations circulated among the guests.
