Chapter 1579 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âRhys! Youâve really messed up this time!
âKilling Sir Moseyâs godson is like stirring up a hornetâs nest! No matter how big Dragonmarsh is, there is nowhere for you to hide!â
Elena was clearly shocked by the turn of events. She always considered the Moseys her safety net, going out of her way to please Dahlia and Scott. Eleanor believed having their support would give her an advantage.
However, she never expected Dustin actually to dare go against her main support. His action wasnât just bold; it was downright crazy!
âDead⦠heâs dead? Scott Mosey is actually dead?â
âDustin! Do you even realize what youâve done? This time, youâve really messed us up!â
After a moment of shock, the Camron family erupted in an uproar. They were filled with despair. With Scott dead, things had escalated. Once the Moseys started investigating it, the Camron family would be in deep trouble.
âOne person had to the plunge. I was the one that killed Scott. Iâll face the consequences,â Dustin said calmly.
âYou? Are you sure you can handle it?â Corey shouted in frustration. He added, âMr. Mosey was part of Oakvaleâs ancient house family, a giant. What makes you think you can take on such a behemoth?
âYou might be asking for trouble for yourself, but why drag us into this mess? Y-You⦠Youâre a walking disaster!â
âExactly! All the Camron family wanted was to sort things out. But by killing Mr. Mosey and presenting his head to us, youâve thrown us into the lionâs den! What were you thinking?â
The crowd expressed their anger toward Dustin. Scott had unresolved issues with the Camron family. If Dustin hadnât shown up at their door with a severed head, they could have explained themselves and escaped from the situation.
But now, there seemed to be no way to clear their names.
âDustin, youâve really landed yourself in hot water. If you want to avoid dragging innocent people into this, return with us to the Moseys mansion and face the consequences!â Eleanor ordered firmly.
While Scottâs death wasnât her doing, ensuring Dustinâs capture and delivering him to the Moseys would be a notable accomplishment.
âRhys! You just mentioned you took the plunges. I now demand you to surrender yourself!â Elena joined in. She couldnât fathom how a loser like Dustin dared to kill an elite figure. He was clearly asking for trouble.
âIt seems you donât quite get it,â Dustin stated nonchalantly.
âI did kill Scott Mosey, but that doesnât mean Iâm going to apologize for it.â
âAre you seriously not worried about the Moseys coming after you for revenge?â Eleanor asked.
âWhat do you think?â he retorted.
That left both Eleanor and Elena momentarily speechless.
After all, if Dustin feared retaliation, why would he have gone ahead and killed Scott? This loser that stood before them was undoubtedly a loose cannon.
âAnd thereâs one more thing,â Dustin added with an air of indifference.
âConsidering both of you were in cahoots with Scott, youâre not exactly saints. You share some responsibility for Lanaâs death.
âIâll give you two options: First, kneel in front of Lanaâs memorial for three days and reflect on your sins. And then surrender half of your family fortune to compensate for the Camron familyâs losses-â
Before he could finish, Eleanor quickly retorted, âYouâre delusional! Lanaâs death is none of our business. Stop making a fuss!â
âExactly! Forget about surrendering half of our familyâs fortune. I wouldnât even consider kneeling!â Elena added firmly. A second-tier family like theirs would never stoop so low.
âIf you donât agree, then thereâs only the second option is left.â
