Chapter 172 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Meanwhile, the atmosphere at the Harmon familyâs press conference became increasingly lively. Just when Natasha thought that everything was going smoothly, a scream suddenly rang out from the crowd.
Everyone turned to look. An old man had suddenly collapsed to the ground, convulsing and foaming at the mouth. Within moments, he was unconscious.
âDad! Whatâs wrong with you? Please get up!â Cried a middleâaged man next to him, panicâstricken.
âIâm a doctor, let me take a look!â A bald man quickly stepped forward to check the old manâs breathing and pulse. With a sigh, he shook his head. âHeâs already dead.â
âDead?â Everyone was shocked by the news.
âHow could this happen? He seemed perfectly fine just a moment ago.â
âWho knows? He looked energetic: itâs so strange that he died suddenly.â
âCould it be a heart attack?â
Whispers and murmurs of suspicion filled the air.
âIt canât be! My dad couldnât have died! We made sure he had regular checkups, and he was always healthy!â
The middleâaged man sobbed.
âIt looks like he might have been poisoned. Did he eat anything earlier?â The bald doctor asked.
âWe didnât eat anything today. The middleâaged man trailed off before suddenly remembering something.
Wait! My dad took Immortunol earlier, and now he is dead! The medicine must be toxic!â
âToxic?â Everyone was shocked to hear this. After all, they had all taken the same medicine earlier.
âHow could this be?â Natasha frowned.
Having such an incident during the press conference was not a good sign. Regardless of whether the old manâs death was related to Immortunol, it would have a huge impact on Harmon Pharmaceuticalâs reputation.
Once the label âtoxicâ was attached to Immortunol, it would not be able to sell at all.
âItâs all because of you! Itâs all your fault! You killed my father by selling fake medicine! You owe me his life!â The middleâaged man stood up and roared at Natasha.
He rushed forward to attack her but was stopped by the Harmon familyâs bodyguards.
âThe cause of your fatherâs death is not clear yet. Whether it is related to Immortunol still needs further investigation,â Natasha said sternly.
âThereâs nothing more to investigate! Everyone saw it clearly just now. My father was healthy before he took your medicine. After taking it, he suddenly died!â The man shouted.
âMy father was killed by you! You wicked businesswoman! You look my fatherâs life!â He kneeled beside the body, crying bitterly.

âMy poor father, you died in vain! Iâm sorry that I couldnât avenge your death. I hope that they will get divine retribution from the heavens!â
It was a heartâwrenching sight that moved everyone to tears.
At that moment, everyone turned to Natasha. Their gazes had changed from ones of respect to ones of scorn.
âNatasha! I never knew you were such a despicable person. For the sake of profit, you would actually sell fake medicine!â Quentin jumped to his feet and accused her loudly.
âStop talking nonsense. Immortunol is not poisonous. Natasha frowned.
*Then how do you explain the old manâs sudden death after taking your medicine?â Quentin pressed.
âNatasha was at a loss for words.
âThe old manâs death has nothing to do with Immortunol,â Dustin spoke up. He had been watching from the side all along.
âWho are you to say that the medicine is not at fault?â Quentin retorted coldly.
âI can show you that the medicine had nothing to do with his death. If you donât believe me, I can ask the old man personally.â Dustin stepped forward with a calm expression.
