Chapter 1759 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
A crash echoed through the air. In a swift motion, Dustinâs hand propelled the noble scion several feet away. He crashed heavily into the wall with an uncertain fate. The remaining nobles wore expressions of shock but refrained from expressing their anger.
Dustinâs martial prowess was apparent. They had no choice but to bide their time and suppress their indignation when faced with such a formidable opponent. Some astute individuals had already discreetly summoned reinforcements, anticipating Dustinâs imminent demise.
âYou wretch! How dare you break my hand? Youâre dead! Your whole family is dead!â Russoâs face contorted as he roared furiously.
âI wonât just break your hand. Iâm going to break your leg too.â
Dustin showed no mercy. He raised his foot and stomped forcefully on Russoâs knee.
A resounding snap followed. Russoâs knee bent in an unnatural direction. He let out a louder scream and writhed on the ground in pain.
âWhereâs Lisa? Hand her over,â Dustin demanded, gripping Russoâs hair and lifting his upper body.
âIâll give you three seconds to consider. If you refuse, Iâll castrate you right here.
âYou-you dare!â Russo gritted his teeth with a menacing tone. Dustin chuckled and reached for a fruit knife with a swift motion. He pointed it at Russoâs groin.
âNo, no, no! Iâll talk! Iâll spill everything,â Russo exclaimed in fear. He finally relented and pleaded for mercy.
He went on, âCome on, man, sheâs just a woman. Why go through all this trouble? If youâre into her, Iâll just give her to you.â
âWhere is she?â
Dustin, uninterested in Russoâs rambling, pressed the fruit knife against Russoâs manhood.
âI-I donât know where Lisa is.â
Russo shook his head. He quickly changed his tune as he felt the cold blade.
âAlthough I donât know where she is, one of my gang members surely does. Iâll call him right now and have him bring her over!â
âCall now!â Dustin said coldly.
âAlright, alright, Iâll callâ¦â
Russo didnât hesitate. He took out his phone and dialed the number.
âHey! Is that girl named Lisa still alive? Yes, her. Bring her to me immediately, and make sure sheâs safe. Remember, she must be safe!â
The last four words were emphasized, clearly carrying a veiled threat.
Dustin was well aware of these manipulations, but he paid them no mind. Whether it was Russo, the Hero Alliance, the Vern family, or their backers, anyone involved in this matter would be eliminated.
Ten minutes later, the lively music in the bar came to an abrupt halt. The lights suddenly brightened, and a team of enforcers in suits efficiently started clearing the space. Within minutes, all the barâs customers were escorted outside. The previously vibrant atmosphere was hushed.
âWho dares to be so audacious, causing trouble on the Vern family turf?â
With a furious shout, a bald man in a flowery suit strode in, accompanied by dozens of followers. The bald man was burly and possessed a fierce demeanor. A flower tattoo adorned his head, giving him a unique look.
âGreat! Rowan Archer is here! Mr. Vern might have a chance now!â
âI heard Rowan used to be a captain in the Black Dragon Army, but he was dismissed for violating regulations. Now, heâs a top enforcer for the Vern family. Heâs fierce and formidable!â
âOf course! A captain from the Black Dragon Army isnât ordinary. The number of people whoâve died at Rowanâs hands over the years, if not a thousand, must be close!â
âThis is going to be interesting!â
Rowanâs presence sparked discussions among the nobles present. The initial tension and panic dissipated. It was replaced by mockery and amusement. In their eyes, Dustin was already a dead man. As for the manner of his death, it all depended on Rowanâs preferences.
