Chapter 1785 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
The other girls bowed and kneeled. Their sincerity was evident in the gesture. As Dustin observed the scene, he was momentarily stunned. The words spoken by the girl in yellow carried a profound impact.
He hadnât expected that, after enduring such traumatic experiences, these girls werenât merely concerned about their own situations.
But they were contemplating the fate of all vulnerable groups worldwide. Their noble aspirations and heightened awareness resonated deeply, even touching Dustin deep in his heart.
In alignment with Graceâs earlier insight, these young women were forced into the darkness but still harbored aspirations to be the light. Their exceptional courage was genuinely commendable.
Who claimed women fall short of men? In the domain of true righteousness, these female heroes stood tall, contributing noble deeds to uphold their share of the world.
With such a group of virtuous fighters, how can West Lucozia not thrive? How could the world not find its equilibrium?
âDustin, make a decision. If you donât take them in, they wonât have a hope to live.â Grace urged earnestly.
âWill you regret your choice?â Dustin asked seriously.
âNever!â all the girls replied unanimously.
âGood! I take you all in,â he said earnestly.
He went on, âStarting today, Iâll arrange special training for you. If you can endure it, Iâll do my best to help you achieve your aspirations. If not possible, find a place to live peacefully.â
âWe wonât let you down, sir!â the girl in yellow affirmed.
âWe wonât let you down, sir!â the other girls echoed. Raven nodded and looked at Grace. âIâll leave them to you for now. Iâll make more comprehensive arrangements for their next location tomorrow.â
âNo problem,â Grace said with a slight smile as she led the group of girls away. As they left, Rodrigo rushed in anxiously, looking flustered as if something terrible had occurred.
âYour Highness! Bad news!â Rodrigo exclaimed, his eyes welling with emotion.
âThereâs been a disturbance at the castle. His Highness was attacked by assassins and has succumbed to his death.â
âWhat?â Dustin was thunderstruck, rooted in place.
After a moment, he snapped back to reality, grabbing Rodrigo angrily. â What nonsense are you spouting? The castle is heavily guarded by skilled fighters. Rufus couldnât possibly be assassinated!â
âYour Highness, I canât believe it either, but this information came from inside the castle.
Iâve double-checked, His Highness⦠â He really was assassinated,â Rodrigo said, his voice trembling as tears welled in his eyes.
âNo, itâs impossible, absolutely impossible!â Dustin kept shaking his head. âRufus was a master strategist and was always able to escape danger. How could he possibly die?â
âItâs remnants of the Dragon Guard! They assassinated him!â Rodrigo said, full of grief and anger.
âThe Dragon Guard ⦠Itâs the Dragon Guard again!â Dustin gritted his teeth, his mouth almost breathing fire.
âI swear Iâll tear them apart into a million pieces!â
