Chapter 1806 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
In the evening, Austin, Dustin, and a few others arrived at the border fortress, Peace City. Peace City was Linconâs territory. A decade ago, it was still a deserted small town.
However, under Linconâs leadership, it became West Lucoziaâs top-five city in less than ten years. Peace City was one of the best in the military, economy, politics, culture, education, and even medicine sector.
It could be said that Peace Cityâs achievements were all thanks to Linconâs knowledge and outstanding capability.
If Elijah was considered a hero in chaotic times, Lincon was a capable marquis in peaceful times.
A black SUV slowly stopped beside the road outside the Marquis of Riversideâs residence. The car door opened, and Dustin and Austin got out of the car one after another.
âDustin, this is the last stop.â Austin looked at the Marquis Riversideâs door plate and sighed.
He continued, âLincon has quite a good relationship with Dad, not to mention heâs also righteous, and we have Elijahâs letter. It should go smoothly.â
âItâs hard to say.â Dustin shook his head. âWe must put our guard up despite approaching the last step. Lincon is a schemer. Even Rufus canât see through him. Nobody knows what heâs thinking.â
âAre you scared that something will happen?â Austin tried asking.
âSince Julius has already contacted Elijah, he must have talked with Lincon as well. Iâm scared that Lincon has already agreed to join Juliusâ side. If thatâs the case, weâre just voluntarily walking into a trap by coming here,â Dustin analyzed.
Julius was not stupid. It could be said he was both intelligent and a good fighter. He was the Grand General of the Iron Stallion Cavalry, after all.
With his intelligence, Julius surely would be able to guess what they were thinking. Thus, he wouldnât just sit back and watch them trying to get people on their team.
This was attested when Julius offered two cities in exchange for Elijahâs support.
Among the Southern Four Sovereigns, Wyatt and Arthur had handed over their military insignia. Thus, they were definitely on Dustinâs side.
Meanwhile, Tyrus had already signed a wedding agreement with the royal family. With mutual interests binding both sides, there shouldnât be a problem.
As for Elijah, he rejected Juliusâs condition and even killed his men. Thus, there was no way the two could work together anymore.
Now, only Lincon was left. What choice he would make was still uncertain. If Lincon agreed to side with the monarchy, Dustin would have the capability to confront Julius.
However, Dustin would be in big trouble if Lincon agreed to side with Julius.
âDustin, your concerns arenât without reason. However, we donât have a choice. We must give it a try and hope Lincon will side with us,â Austin said with a sigh.
âOkay. With me around, at least I can ensure your safety.â Dustin nodded.
He had already prepared for the worst.
If Lincon sided with Julian and set a trap for them, Dustin would destroy his residence and support new personnel to take over.
Of course, he didnât want to use violence to solve problems unless it was absolutely necessary.
âLetâs go and meet Lincon.â Austin became more confident and marched up to the door.
âGreetings, Your Highness!â When Austin got close, an old butler immediately greeted him.
âHuh?â Austin was stunned for a moment.
He didnât introduce himself or take out his badge. Thus, he wondered how the butler recognized him with just a glance.
âYou⦠You know me?â Austin felt a bit strange. After thinking for a moment, he remembered he had never entered the Marquis Riverside residence before.
