Chapter 1834 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
In the castleâs side hall, the Southern Four Sovereigns sat in a row, quietly waiting. Each of them bore a different expression, lost in contemplation.
Elijah casually sipped his coffee, Lincon rested with closed eyes, Tyrus observed the hallâs arrangement, and Wyatt paced impatiently.
After some time passed, Eloise entered the hall with Austin and Jaxon, carrying an exquisite purple rosewood box.
âGentlemen, the Marshalâs military insignia has arrived,â she announced and delicately placed the rosewood box on the table. Upon unveiling its contents, it revealed a striking golden tiger token.
The meticulously crafted tiger token emanated a regal and imposing presence. Adorning its surface in resplendent gold were the words: â
Symbol of Armor, with the Prince on the left and Lucozia on the right.â
âIndeed, itâs the Marshalâs military insignia!â Wyatt exclaimed, his eyes lighting up. He added, âWith this insignia, we can command the Black Dragon Army. Juliusâs scheme will crumble without a fight.â
âYour Highness, time is of the essence. Hurry, take the insignia to the Black Dragon Armyâs base, meet with their leaders, and explain your identity. Donât let Julius proceed any further,â Tyrus urged.
âThe Marshalâs military insignia is crucial. Julius wonât sit idly by. Your Highness, this mission will be exceptionally dangerous. Be fully prepared,â Lincon reminded.
âI understand. Iâve discussed it with my mother. Iâll dispatch ten covert teams from various directions, and Iâll blend in among them,â Austin declared solemnly.
He added, âEven if Julius is vigilant, he wonât find me so easily. By the time he realizes the danger, I should already be at the Black Dragon Armyâs base.â
âVery good. Your Highness, only you and Her Highness should know about this mission. Donât disclose it to a third person to avoid any mishaps,â Lincon advised.
âThank you for the reminder, Uncle Lincon. Iâll be careful.â Austin nodded.
âNo time to waste. Letâs get to work,â Lincon said.
âWait a moment â¦â Suddenly, Elijah spoke up. âIs there something wrong with this insignia?â
âHuh?â Austin frowned. âWhatâs wrong with it?â
âI remember the military insignia doesnât seem to look like this. Could it be swapped?â Elijah said.
âImpossible!â Eloise dismissed the idea. âThe military insignia is placed in a secure room. Only he and I know about it. It couldnât have been swapped.
âThatâs strange.â Elijah narrowed his eyes, carefully examining the insignia.
âUncle Elijah, could you be mistaken?â Austin asked.
âI canât say for sure. Let me take a closer look,â Elijah responded, taking the military insignia from Austin to examine it carefully.
At that moment, Lincon appeared to sense something. His expression abruptly changed. âYour Highness, exercise caution with the military insignia!â
As he spoke, Elijah suddenly flashed a wicked grin. Then, with a twist on his wrist, the military insignia disappeared.
âYour Highness, thank you!â he said. Then, he stomped on the ground, catapulting through the roof and vanishing into the darkness at an astonishing speed.
Everything unfolded so rapidly that no one present fully comprehended it. From Elijah taking the military insignia to disappearing, only two seconds had elapsed.
In the momentary daze, he, along with the military insignia, was gone.
âElijah is a traitor! Retrieve the military insignia quickly! Otherwise, the castle is in danger!â
