Chapter 1844 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âSomeone! Take him down!â Julius finally issued a command in the face of Dustinâs unrelenting assault.
While it would have been best to recruit such a highly skilled individual, Dustinâs refusal made him a potential threat that had to be eliminated since there was the risk of him joining the enemy.
âCharge!â Everett and Shane both signaled with a wave of their hands. Instantly, hundreds of elite warriors surged toward Dustin.
These were the Black Dragon Armyâs generals who possessed exceptional strength. As they attacked in unison, their combined power exceeded multiple-fold.
âHalt!â Suddenly, a black shadow descended from the sky like a shooting star, crashing into the crowd with unparalleled speed.
Following the thunderous impact, the ground shattered, and debris scattered. A powerful shockwave emanated from the point of impact, forcing those in its path to stagger back and almost lose their footing.
âWho is that?â The crowd looked closely and saw that 50 feet ahead, an elderly man with graying hair had materialized.
Clad in formal attire, he exuded an air of indifference. A red mist enveloped his body, emanating a strong intent to kill. The newcomer was none other than Albert Horst, also known as the Executioner!
âAlbert? He finally showed up!â Eloiseâs eyes lit up.
Since Rufusâ passing, Albert had vanished, not showing himself for several days. Despite their attempts to locate him, there was no sign of his whereabouts. His arrival was indeed well-timed.
As one of the three great generals of the Rhys family, Albertâs true strength remained a mystery. While his actual power was unknown, anyone targeted by him was destined to meet their end.
âThis is fantastic! With Albert here, we now have a fighting chance!â Wyatt felt invigorated. Albert was a legendary figure and one of Rufusâ most trusted lieutenants. Although he always kept a low profile, no one dared underestimate him.
After all, the glory of the Executioner title was earned through the blood of thousands of enemy soldiers.
âAlbert the Executioner?â Julius narrowed his eyes, treating the situation with heightened seriousness.
In West Lucozia, the person he feared most was Rufus, who had now passed away. And the person occupying the second spot was the seemingly inconspicuous Executioner standing before him.
âHis Highness, Prince Rufus, commands the members of the Black Dragon Army to withdraw to the fortress immediately and resume their duties guarding the borders!â Albert declared loudly. 2
His voice resonated like thunder, asserting dominance over the scene.
âAn order from Prince Rufus?â The generals of the Black Dragon Army exchanged shocked glances upon hearing Albertâs proclamation.
Summoned through the military insignia, a command bearing the Grand Marshalâs insignia was equivalent to a personal order from the Prince.
As soldiers, they were duty-bound to obey Juliusâ commands. Now, they were left perplexed by the unexpected order from Prince Rufus.
âHmph! An order from the Prince? What utter bullshit!â Julius took two steps forward, his tone cold.
âAlbert! The Prince has long passed away, so where did this order come from? You must be concocting a lie to deceive us all!â
âThatâs right!â Elijah chimed in.
âThe Prince is dead, and the military insignia is now in the hands of Grand General Rhys. Everyone in the Black Dragon Army must obey Grand General Rhysâ commands. How dare a mere butler dictate the situation here?â
âAllow me to repeat myself. His Highness Prince Rufus commands all members of the Black Dragon Army to retreat to the fortress!â Albert spoke with a stern expression, raising his voice even louder than before. His aura became more imposing.
Rather than wasting words, Julius issued a direct order. âSomeone take down this scoundrel!â
