Chapter 1872 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
At Reaganâs order, the subordinates quickly served the alcohol and food. Just like that, Reagan and Julius started to indulge in the food and wine.
At that moment, Dustin and Austin sat in the villagerâs house located beyond the mountain ranges. They sipped on coffee as they waited for news.
Ever since Julius had been taken away, they had been secretly following him. At last, they arrived at a place called Bronx Mountain Range. Bronx Mountain Range was vast and boundless, not to mention it was situated at the border.
Half of its territory belonged to West Lucozia, while the other half was under the control of an enemy nation. The two countries remained at peace in recent years. There wasnât any obvious conflict other than some disputes from the countriesâ spies.
Due to Bronx Mountain Rangeâs unique geographical location, no one would go there except for a few farmers and hunters who relied on the mountains for their livelihoods.
âDustin, itâs been the entire night. The signal on Julius is lost, while our spies didnât send back any updates. Could it be that something happened?â Austin seemed solemn.
âLetâs wait a bit more. I donât think Julius dares to betray us. Iâve given him some parasitic poison. The signal probably got lost as Dragon Guard installed many signal jammers in Bronx Mountain Range.
At that moment, someone knocked on the door. Austin immediately ran and gently opened the wooden door, revealing the castleâs top-grade spy standing outside the door.
âHow is it? Did you manage to find out anything?â Austin quickly asked.
âIâve already been to No.3 and No.4 Spyâs hiding place and found traces of struggle there. Itâs most likely that they have been captured,â the top-grade spy answered.
âHow could this happen? Did Julius leak this information?â Austin furrowed his eyebrows.
âJulius didnât know that we arranged spies to follow after him. Even if he managed to guess, he wouldnât know their exact location either.
âThey probably got caught, as Dragon Guardâs spies are more capable than us, âDustin said thoughtfully.
âOur spy has been caught, and Julius is missing. What should we do, Dustin?â Austin furrowed his eyebrows.
They didnât have any direction on what to do. They didnât have any clues, and the Dragon Guard even ambushed their spies.
âIncrease manpower to continue searching along where the spies went missing. Remember to be more careful, âDustin ordered.
âYes, sir!â the top-grade spy answered before quickly leaving.
âAustin, the ambush might not go smoothly. I have a letter here. Find someone reliable and send it out for me. It must arrive at the receiver!â
Dustin took out a letter and handed it to Austin.
âNo problem. Iâll get it done right now! âAustin didnât dare to delay.
Immediately, he dashed out the door.
âWeâre running out of time. I hope we can still make it.â Dustin narrowed his eyes. His face was serious as he fell deep in thought.
