Chapter 1900 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âCinna, why are you standing there? Lost in thought? Come on, we need to find that treasure map!â Julius, his face contorted with frustration, unleashed it all on Cinna.
âOkay.â Cinna promptly headed straight for the big alloy door. He took out Reaganâs severed hand and placed it on the central sensing area.
The heavy alloy door opened, revealing a metallic vault of about 300 square feet.
In the center was an impressive stack of gold bricks. Surrounding it were an assortment of precious rarities that were closely packed, each worth a fortune.
âThis is Reaganâs private gold vault. Anything he took a liking to ended up in here,â Cinna said.
âWow, look at all this treasure!â Austin exclaimed, glancing around in amazement. âImagine if we cash in on this haul, we could practically own an entire city!â
âThese treasures canât compare to the three treasuries of the Dragon Guard. The treasures here are merely a drop in the ocean,â Cinna remarked seriously.
âReally?â Austinâs surprise and delight were evident.
âAre you telling me that the treasuries of the Dragon Guard are like massive piles of wealth?â
âI havenât witnessed it firsthand. But considering the Dragon Guardâs wealth amassed over decades, calling their treasuries mountains wouldnât be an overstatement,â Cinna stated earnestly.
âOkay⦠I canât wait to get my hands on the Dragon Guardâs treasures!â Austin was excited.
âLetâs cut to the chase. Whereâs that treasure map?â Julius inquired, his impatience evident.
âItâs here.â Cinna strolled over to a shelf toward the back. He reached for a sandalwood box and handed it over to Dustin carefully.
Dustin opened it to find three parchment maps.
Each map outlined a specific route, with a shiny golden mark pinpointing the treasuryâs location at the center.
If they could trust the accuracy of the treasure map, following the outlined route seemed like the key to reaching the treasury.
âYour Highness, just a gentle reminder that the treasuries will have the watchful eyes of our skilled Dragon Guard warriors.
âThey wonât open those treasuries unless the Chief Guild Master is around, âCinna added.
âThe Dragon Guard is history now. A handful of warriors wonât cause much trouble,â Dustin said casually.
âYour Highness, Iâve finished my task. Is it possible for me to visit my family one last time?â Cinna pleaded.
âIâll give you three days. Spend some time with your family. After that, come back and be prepared to face the consequences,â Dustin stated coldly.
âThank you, Your Highness,â Cinna said.
His face lit up with joy as he dropped to his knees and bowed to Dustin. Cinna figured three days should be enough for him to take care of everything.
It was a huge relief knowing he could ensure his familyâs safety and fulfill his final wish at the same time.
âAlbert, escort him out and ensure he leaves with dignity,â Dustin instructed.
âYes, sir.â Albert nodded, freed Cinna from his shackles, and guided him out of the secret chamber.
âI canât believe that the guy who seemed so loyal to West Lucozia turned out to be a traitor.â Austin shook his head in disbelief.
Dustin said calmly, âWe all have to deal with the outcomes of our choices. He did what he believed was right, and now he has to accept the repercussions.
From Cinnaâs point of view, he believed that any action was justified if it meant protecting his family. On the other hand, Dustin saw such treacherous behavior as entirely unforgivable.
