Chapter 1906 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Juliusâ remarks attracted many sidelong glances. As the former Grand General of the Iron Stallion Cavalry, while his character was highly controversial, his capabilities were unquestionable.
After all, he was only able to assume his current position through numerous hard-fought battles.
If someone as charismatic and visionary as Julius similarly believed that Logan was the most suitable for the throne, they would have to reassess their views.
Initially, they supported Austin because of Loganâs perceived lack of influence. However, that didnât seem to be the case now.
With the support of influential figures like Adam, the God of Military, and Julius, the Iron Stallion Cavalry Grand General, many were reconsidering their decisions.
âJulius, could you please elaborate on your reasons for choosing Logan?â Rufus asked with a smile.
âMy reasons are similar to Sergeant Spannerâs. I value a personâs talent and capability.â
Julius earnestly explained, âIn the recent eradication of the Dragon Guard remnants, I believe each of you witnessed how Logan successfully took out the cunning Reagan Judd through his strategic planning and execution.
âAt the same time, he managed to seize all the treasures belonging to the Dragon Guard. This is an undeniably significant achievement.
âIn essence, Logan possesses both bravery and strategic acumen, making him the best candidate for the throne.
âAs for Austin, heâs more than qualified to be the Grand General. But as a Prince, he still falls short in comparison.â
Before Rufus could respond, Tyrus rose angrily and rebuked, âNonsense! The success in eliminating the remnants of the Dragon Guard wasnât solely Prince Loganâs achievement. Prince Austin had also made significant contributions.
âHow would the plan have proceeded smoothly without Prince Austinâs assistance? In terms of talent and capability, Prince Austin is absolutely comparable to Prince Logan. He is also younger and has more potential!â
âSir Storm, thereâs no need to get worked up. This is a family conversation, and I was just speaking
casually. I have no decision-making power. The real authority lies with my brother,â Julius responded calmly.
While he never intended to get involved, Julius sensed Rufusâ clear preference for Logan and went along with it to show his support.
After all, their opinions were merely suggestions, and the ultimate decision rested with Rufus.
âYou didnât express yourself clearly, which could easily lead to misunderstandings. I have to clarify your explanations,â Tyrus said coldly.
How did a traitor dare speak so shamelessly? What a complete lack of awareness.
âIâve heard all of your suggestions,â Rufus spoke again, interrupting the discussions.
âSome of you are in favor of Logan, while others support Austin. This indicates that both my sons are exceptionally outstanding. However, thereâs only one throne, and I must choose only one of them.â
With that, Rufus shifted his attention to Logan and Austin. âLogan, Austin, do you think you have the capability to take on the role?â
âDad, I canât be the Prince since I lack the knowledge and experience. You should pass it to Logan,â Austin stated bluntly.
As long as Dustin was around, he would never think about becoming the Prince. To him, family was much more important than the throne.
However, his sincere declaration left his supporters anxious. Tyrus and the others, in particular, displayed noticeable shifts in their expressions.
What kind of joke was this?
After ardently supporting Austin for the throne, he now voluntarily relinquished it when the throne was within reach. What was wrong with him?
âAnd you, Logan?â Rufus asked. 1
âIâm not interested in the throne. Iâve only returned to eliminate the remnants of the Dragon Guard. With that problem dealt with, I have no more reason to stay.
âIâll be leaving in a few days, so itâs most fitting for Austin to assume the throne,â Logan commented indifferently.
