Chapter 1920 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Despite Branâs intense glare, Dustin nonchalantly shrugged it off. He knew he could have easily emerged victorious in their fight without any intervention.
After handling a couple of minor disturbances, Aidan resumed his meal. Jackson, accompanied by the disciples of the Embersteel Order, chose to keep a low profile and settled into nearby seats.
Grace stood up and approached Jacksonâs table. âHello, everyone. Thank you for your timely assistance,â she expressed her gratitude. Jackson dismissed it coolly, saying, â Just helping out, no biggie.â
He added, âIâve always had a thing against those who prey on the weaker ones. Our sect consistently stands against injustice.â
âThe Embersteel Order truly lives up to its reputation as a haven for true heroes,â Grace remarked admiringly.
âWhy not join us at the table for a few drinks?â she asked, warmly inviting them. âIâve got a couple of bottles of premium wine in my collection.â
At the mention of premium wine, Jacksonâs eyes widened with interest.
âNo need for all the formalities. Iâm in, âhe quickly said, motioning for his sectâs disciples to merge their table with Graceâs.
âMr. Will, could you ask the chef for a few more dishes and grab some extra bottles of wine?â Grace instructed her assistant.
âOf course,â Mr. Will responded promptly and left.
Soon, the table was brimming with a variety of delectable dishes and premium wines. Without hesitation, Jackson poured himself a glass and downed it in one go. âThis wine is amazing!â
His face lit up with pleasure after the first sip, and he couldnât resist licking his lips. âIâd bet this has to be a century -old vintage, am I right?â
Considering himself quite the seasoned drinker, he reveled in the unmatched richness and flavor of the wine. The 50- year-old vintage he had shared with his master paled in comparison to the exquisite drink in his hand.
âIt looks like our distinguished hero here knows his wines well,â Grace said with an ambiguous smile. After all, savoring a royal fine wine, especially one as rare as this, wasnât an everyday experience for most.
âIâm not trying to come off as some kind of hero or anything. By the way, the nameâs Jackson Hawk. If you want to keep things casual, just call me Jackson,â he said boldly.
âIâm Grace Linsor, and this is my friend, Dustin,â Grace introduced.
âYour fearless stand against the Frostwing Sect is truly admirable. Facing their power head-on makes you a genuine hero. Hereâs to you!â Jackson raised his glass, nodding approvingly at Dustin.
In the entire southwest region, Jackson knew that not many dared to confront the Frostwing Sect. Regardless of the opponentâs strength, Dustinâs bravery was commendable.
âCompared to you, Iâve still got a long road ahead.â Dustin returned the gesture, raising his glass.
âIn the world of martial arts, we value kindred spirits who share similar principles,â Jackson remarked.
He continued, âFate has brought you two across our paths. If you ever encounter challenges ahead, donât hesitate to seek me out. Iâll be more than willing to lend a hand!â He patted his chest reassuringly.
âThank you,â Dustin replied.
