Chapter 1932 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âNo chance at surviving? Is it really that dangerous?â Jackson was shocked. Ryan was the Arcane Path Guildâs prodigy, possessing strength comparable to Jackson. The monsters in the oasis must be exceptionally formidable for him to say that.
âIâm not trying to scare you. Itâs genuinely horrifying in there. My seniors and juniors were eaten by those monsters.
âIf I hadnât run fast enough and been lucky, I might have suffered the same fate,â Ryan said with a pained expression. He had watched helplessly as his fellow disciples were killed, and the feeling was unbearable.
âSeems like our mission this time is teeming with danger!â Jackson appeared pensive.
Although the Arcane Path Guild wasnât a Southwest sect, their strength rivaled that of the Embersteel Order.
The fact that their team of elite disciples that were sent on the exploration barely survived indicated the extreme danger within the oasis.
It would be a challenge for Jackson to venture in with his current abilities. He would have to seek the assistance of their sectâs formidable experts.
âOpportunities come with great risk. If you want treasures, youâll have to put your life on the line. Thereâs no such thing as a free lunch. If any of you are afraid, feel free to back out. I wonât stop you,â Aidan said indifferently.
As a martial arts grandmaster, his formidable strength was his greatest confidence. Those monsters were nothing in his eyes.
âMr. Ridge, weâve prepared ourselves for the risks when we came here. Weâre not afraid of death, but we also donât wish to die in vain.
âIf what Ryan said was true, the oasis is an extremely dangerous place. I just think itâs necessary to seek more help, just in case,â Jackson suggested.
âWhat you do is none of my concern. Once inside the oasis, feel free to go your own way.â Aidan Ignored his concern.
Most of them present were burdens in his eyes, but for now, these burdens still had some use for him.
âRyan, I have another question,â Grace said. âDid you notice anything special inside the oasis? For example, an area with strong spiritual energy or particularly lush vegetation?â
Her question was driven by the Dracan essencesâ ability to absorb energy from around it, gathering the spiritual energy of nature.
Wherever the Dracan essence exists, spiritual energy becomes exceptionally dense, and various flora and fauna undergo transformations of varying degrees.
âYour question reminds me of something.â Ryan nodded. He continued, âThe spiritual energy inside the oasis is indeed unusually thick. Training inside would bring rapid progress. If it werenât for the danger, I wouldnât have wanted to leave.â
With his talents, staying inside for a year and a half would likely lead him to a breakthrough to the level of a grandmaster. Unfortunately, he didnât possess the courage or skills to stay inside.
âIf thatâs the case, the thing Iâm looking for must be in there,â Grace whispered to herself. She had confirmed her previous suspicions. The oasis must be concealing a Dracan essence.
âIâve shared all the information I have. Whether you heed it or not, I must emphasize, donât venture inside.â
Ryanâs expression was grim. âThereâs nothing better than being alive. Thereâs no need to risk it for material gain.â
ââThank you for the concern, but we know what weâre doing,â Grace said with a smile.
She added, âThereâs one more thing. Weâve informed your guild, and theyâll be arriving tomorrow to bring you back. In the meantime, you can rest here and recover.â
âThank you, everyone.â Ryan expressed his gratitude with a slight bow.
âHey, kid! Our team just so happens to be lacking a guide. Since youâve been inside once, why not lead us again? As long as we find treasure, youâll get a share,â Aidan suddenly suggested.
âMr. Ridge, it was with difficulty that I escaped alive. Iâm not willing to risk my life again. Please understand,â Ryan replied in anguish.
