Chapter 1939 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âWhat?â When Sebastian turned around, he was met with a gleam of light. It came at an extremely fast speed, bringing along a faint smell of blood.
The person who made the move was Ryan!
After being pinned to the tree, Ryan failed to break free. In the end, he grabbed the gun barrel with both hands and pulled himself forward by a foot.
When he got close to Sebastian, he targeted his neck.
His sharp nails were like blades of steel, extremely deadly.
âHow pathetic!â Sebastian sneered when faced with the sudden attack. He punched right at Ryan without paying him any heed.
An explosion sounded.
Ryanâs nails cut through Sebastianâs energy armor. This caused Sebastianâs entire wrist to be cut off. Blood splattered everywhere at that moment.
âAh!â Sebastian was taken aback seeing his hand on the ground. Immediately, he let out a shrill scream. Sebastian never expected Ryanâs nails to be that sharp. It could be compared to a divine weapon.
Ryan had broken his energy armor easily.
âMy hand! My hand!â Sebastian covered his bleeding severed hand. He felt a mix of shock and anger, though he was more anxious than anything.
Sebastian thought he could easily suppress Ryan.
However, Sebastian found that his fists were practically useless in the battle. When faced with Ryanâs sharp claws, his hand had been cut off just like that.
Sebastian was startled by such a brutal attack.
Without giving Sebastian time to react, Ryan swung his fists and broke the gun barrel. With that, Ryan was freed. 2
Then, Ryan roared and rushed toward Sebastian.
âD-Donât come over here. Get away!â Blood drained from Sebastianâs face. Without caring about his image, he turned around and ran away.
Sebastian was scarred from Ryanâs attack just now.
Now that Sebastian had lost a hand and that his spear was hanging on the tree, he didnât have the courage to fight back.
Sebastianâs first instinct was to run away in the face of intense pain.
If he knew that this was going to happen, he wouldnât have acted arrogantly earlier. Instead, he would have killed Ryan once and for all.
Nobody could have expected that Ryan was fearless after going berserk. He fought like he didnât fear dying. Ryan was out of his mind!
Seeing Sebastian running away, Ryan naturally wouldnât let him go. With a roar, Ryan chased after Sebastian.
âSomebody! Go and block this madman!â While running, Sebastian would turn and look back from time to time.
Soon, Sebastian was horrified to discover that Ryan was much faster than him. Ryan was charging forward like a tank as he ran.
Wherever Ryan passed, he left destruction in his wake. Nobody dared to stop Ryan when they saw such a scene. Everyone quickly scattered away, fearing to get involved.
âSave me! Somebody!â Seeing that Ryan was about to catch up to him, Sebastian screamed miserably. At that moment, Ryan had already caught up to him. He ripped Sebastianâs clothes with his claw-like fingers, leaving several deep bloodstains on his back.
âAh!â Sebastian screamed.
Due to inertia, Sebastian stumbled and toppled to the ground. He fell flat on his face and was covered in dirt.
Ryan didnât hold back at all. He pounced up to Sebastian like a beast. With his sharp fangs, he aimed straight at Sebastianâs neck.
Sebastian wanted to block it with his hand. However, Ryan bit at his arm instead, tearing large chunks of flesh.
Sebastianâs face became distorted from the pain he felt. His screams rang through the entire night sky. At this moment, Sebastian was terrified by the ferocious and sharp-teethed Ryan.
Sebastian couldnât think of anything. He could only keep struggling to try and break free from Ryan. Ryan alternated between his hands and claws to ravage Sebastian violently, leaving the latter bruised and injured.
Just as Sebastian was about to be ripped apart, a figure suddenly swooped forward and gripped Ryanâs neck.
Then, the figure flung Ryan like a sandbag. After flying for about 30 feet, Ryan slammed into a tree.
The person who attacked was Dustin!
âDonât kill me! Donât kill me!â Sebastian lay on the floor and kept flinging his limbs anxiously in an attempt to protect himself.
After finding that there was no one on him, Sebastian snapped to his senses. Upon closer inspection, Sebastian found that Ryan was lying 30 feet away. The person standing beside him was a stranger.
âCan you still stand up? If you can, get away from here,â Dustin spoke indifferently while keeping his gaze on Ryan.
Dustin had witnessed the entire situation. It was clear that Ryanâs condition was more than just turning crazy.
Ryanâs speed, strength, defense, and even recovery skills had been strengthened. His limbs, skin, and five senses all exhibited varying degrees of mutation. At that moment, Dustin couldnât find any trace of humanity in Ryan.
âFuck! Why didnât you make a move earlier? I was about to die just now!â After returning to his senses, Sebastian scolded Dustin first instead of thanking him.
Dustin furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the man lying on the ground confusedly. âWhat? What are you saying?â
Sebastian scolded frankly, âYou almost killed me! I wouldnât have been this injured if you werenât so slow! Look at all the blood on me. Itâs all your fault!â
âAre you crazy? Why are you blaming me when I saved your life?â Dustin asked indifferently.
Dustin had never seen someone as ridiculous as Sebastian. Not only was Sebastian not grateful, but he even bit the hand that fed him.
âWhatâs wrong with blaming you? Am I wrong? You could have saved me, yet you waited until I was severely injured to help. Youâre just helping me for show!â Sebastian scolded, venting out all his anger.
Upon hearing that, Dustin sneered.
Someone who repaid kindness with enmity was truly disgusting.
âWhy so silent? Do you feel guilty as I hit the nail on the head? I knew you had evil intentions!â Sebastian snorted.
âOkay, then. Itâs true that I have other intentions. You can handle him by yourself, then.â Dustin turned around and left, not bothering to say more.
At that moment, Ryan was already back on his feet. His black orbs were glaring right at Sebastian indifferently.
