Chapter 2028 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âWhat?â
Everyone was astounded to witness Dustin sending the two semi- grandmasters flying with only two slaps.
After all, given their formidable skills, they definitely stood a chance against an ordinary grandmaster. Instead, a single encounter was all it took to leave them seriously injured.
This demonstrated Dustinâs terrifying strength and hinted that the rumors of him defeating Alexander, the Frostwing Sectâs leader, held some truth.
âAttack!â
Bertha and Chester shared a determined look before launching a simultaneous assault on Dustin from both sides.
Bertha, wielding the Harmony dual swords, employed deft and crafty moves.
Each strike of her blade targeted vital points, making it challenging to defend against. The execution resembled a butterfly dance. It was a lethal and mesmerizing display.
On the other hand, Chester wielded a golden broadsword capable of slicing through iron like butter. His weapon was a precious treasure passed down to him through generations in his sect.
Refined and cultivated by three successive sect leaders, it not only amplified oneâs cultivation but also multiplied its power when paired with the exclusive blade techniques of the Embersteel Order.
Every move carried tremendous force, seemingly capable of shaking the Earthâs foundation. The sheer might of his strikes compelled even those more skilled than him to dodge his attacks.
As Bertha and Chester initiated their attacks, the remaining semi- grandmasters refused to be outdone and launched their assaults simultaneously.
From all directions, they converged on Dustin. In the face of their encirclement, Dustin suddenly stomped forcefully on the ground and shot into the sky like a cannonball, crashing through the roof and disappearing from sight.
âWhere do you think youâre going?â
With their attacks missing their target, Bertha immediately soared into the air, passing through the hole in the roof, and chased after Dustin. Everyone else followed closely behind.
Upon exiting the inn, they found that Dustin hadnât fled far. Instead, he was seen standing in the courtyard, waiting in silence.
âSurround him!â
On Berthaâs command, the figures of several skilled fighters flickered, forming yet another encirclement and trapping Dustin within.
Dustin was unfazed in the face of their movements. Standing with his hands behind his back, he wore a calm expression. He didnât appear to take them seriously.
In fact, he had left the inn because he felt restrained by the confined space. He would inadvertently harm his allies if he lost control of his strength.
However, it was different now. Dustin was in a spacious courtyard with surrounding walls. It provided ample room for a proper battle.
âYouâre from the Embersteel Order and Harmony Sect, arenât you?â
Dustin glanced around and said coldly, âWe have no grievances, so why this assassination attempt?â
âHuh?â The group was shocked to have their identities exposed.
They wore masks and were covered in all black, so how did Dustin recognize them?
âWeâre here for the treasures. We might consider sparing your life if you surrender them without resistance!â Bertha growled.
âSo, youâre here for treasure?â
Dustin shook his head as he responded, âItâs a pity. Youâre too late. Iâve already shipped all my treasures away from here. I have nothing on me now.â
âNothing?â Bertha snorted.
âDid you think we would believe you?â
Bertha had sent someone to monitor the inn the entire time. Nothing would have escaped her watchful eyes.
She was certain that nobody from Graceâs team had ever left the village.
âKid, if you know whatâs good for you, youâd hand over the treasures. Itâs better for everyone that way. Thereâs no need to risk your life for worldly possessions!â Chester proclaimed, wielding his golden broadsword with a piercing gaze.
âSeems like thereâs no way to settle this peacefully today.â Dustinâs momentum grew. âI never intended on resorting to violence, but if you push me, donât blame me for being merciless.
Dustin desired no conflict, but he wasnât afraid of it either. If these people retreated now, he could pretend nothing had happened. Otherwise, it would only lead to bloodshed. âHmph! Obstinate fool!â
