Chapter 2045 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âEarth, Water, Air, Fire, and Aether? Cool names.â Dustin casually complimented. He never expected Dalen, with his status, to be the Evil Quintetâs senior member.
âYouâre giving me too much credit. I thought of these names on the spot,â Dalen said with a slight smile. With his fair and delicate face, he looked quite charming.
âHey! Why are you sitting at Dalenâs table? Who do you think you are?â Pyro asked aggressively and slammed the table.
He hated men who looked more handsome than him, especially ones like Dustin. The longer he stared at Dustin, the more annoyed Pyro became. He even wished he could disfigure Dustin.
âTalking to me?â Dustin asked, pointing at himself.
âWho else? Anyone else around?â Pyro sneered, lifting his chin arrogantly.
âYouâre Pyro, right? Did you just eat something nasty? Your breath is awful. Can you please freshen up? Youâre grossing everyone out.â Dustin waved his hand in front of his nose, looking disgusted.
Zephyras burst into laughter upon hearing that. It was the first time she had seen someone talk to Pyro like that.
âDo you have a death wish?â Pyro became furious. Without uttering a word, he threw a punch straight at Dustinâs face.
âSo rude!â
âHow dare you!â
Before Dustin made a move, Laurel and Willow sprang into action. With one on the left and the other on the right, they lifted their legs together and directed kicks at Pyroâs head.
Their long legs moved like whips, creating a fierce wind. The force behind the kicks was unexpectedly strong.
Pyro frowned, cautious not to underestimate the situation. He quickly withdrew his fists, crossing his arms to protect himself.
Laurel and Willowâs powerful kicks hit Pyroâs arms, but he stood firm.
Surprisingly, the impact forced the twin sisters back three steps, while Pyro emerged without a scratch. Dealing with a two-on-one challenge and still prevailing showcased Pyroâs strength.
âNot bad, but still not good enough!â he taunted.
Then, Pyro drew a short ax from his waist and swung at Dustin. Although the strike wasnât fatal, it was enough to disfigure Dustin.
âStop!â
Laurel and Willowâs expressions changed as they tried to intervene, but it was too late. The sharp ax descended heavily, accompanied by a streak of arc light.
As everyone anticipated bloodshed, Dustin casually raised his hand and effortlessly caught the ax that Pyro had swung down, using only a fork.
Dustin didnât even bother to glance at Pyro as he leisurely sipped his drink.
âW-What?â Pyroâs expression turned from confidence to surprise. He never imagined that his ax, which could cut through iron effortlessly, would be stopped by a fork.
What surprised him even more was that when he tried to pull his ax, it wouldnât budge. The forkâs prongs acted like a clamp, firmly holding the ax. No matter how hard Pyro tried, he couldnât break his ax free.
This sight shocked Pyro and left the other four members of Evil Quintet bewildered.
