Chapter 2060 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âIâm the disciple of the Sword Union! Let me deal with that bastard!â
Suddenly, a loud shout came from the crowd.
It was Miles, who had just arrived at the scene. He had come for some fun but ended up witnessing a warrior from the Kimboku being all boastful. Being a passionate young man and a disciple of the Sword Union, he couldnât stand it anymore.
âMiles, that guy is pretty tough. Dealing with him wonât be easy. Donât rush into things,â Crystal, standing next to him, advised.
Even though Miles was talented and had joined the Sword Union for a few years, he still lacked experience and finesse.
While handling a Divine-level martial artist presented no issue for him, dealing with an elite would prove to be a more demanding task.
He shrugged it off, saying, âCrystal, isnât he just a brat? Whatâs so great about him? While my sword skills might not match up to yours, handling that brat is a breeze!â
Miles jumped into the martial world not too long ago, full of big dreams. Now, with a great opportunity in front of him, he wasnât about to back down.
Crystal warned earnestly, subtly reminding him, âMiles, donât make the mistake of underestimating your opponent. Think before you act.
âThis warrior from Kimboku daring to challenge martial artists near the Sacred Wyrm Summit isnât just anybody, Charging in recklessly might lead you right into their trap.â
Seeing Marco daring to challenge martial artists at the Sacred Wyrm Summit indicated that he must be an exceptional individual from Kimboku.
Given Milesâ current strength, it was obvious that he was not a match for Marco.
âCrystal, have some faith in me, okay? Iâm the same age as that brat. I canât believe Iâm inferior to him.â Ignoring the advice, he kept raising his hand for the challenge.
Due to the Sword Unionâs excellent reputation, many people turned their attention toward them.
âYoung man, are you the disciple of the Sword Union?â Quincy asked, drawn by Milesâ loud voice.
âYes!â Miles promptly showed his Sword Union disciple badge to confirm his affiliation.
âGreat⦠Youâre indeed the Sword Union disciple!â Quincy nodded in satisfaction upon seeing the badge. â Young man, whatâs your name?â
âIâm Miles. Nice to meet you, Elder Douglas!â Miles nodded respectfully, full of excitement. Now in the spotlight, he could feel his adrenaline pumping.
âMiles, do you think you can beat Marco?â Quincy inquired.
âWell, I canât promise for sure, but I believe I have a good chance!â Miles replied confidently.
âGreat! Thatâs excellent!â Quincy chuckled.
He added, âIâve heard that Sword Union disciples are outstanding, and today, I see itâs not all talk.
âSince youâre so confident, youâll be representing Dragonmarsh in the battle. Remember, only victory is acceptable. Thereâs no room for defeat!
âNo problem!â Miles nodded respectfully. âEven if I have to risk my life, Iâll defeat the warriors from Kimboku and bring glory to our nation!
âExcellent! Well said!â
The crowd applauded to show their support for Milesâ determination. 1
Although the Celestial Alliance held the most influence and members in Dragonmarsh, when it came to elite disciples and master quality, the Sword Union clearly stood out at the top.
The Sword Union recruited disciples with extraordinary talents, though they were few in number but high in quality.
Glenn was a prime example. In his twenties, he not only became an ultimate grandmaster but also climbed the ranks of the Astonishing World List.
The prestige of such achievements was enough for all sects to admire.
