Chapter 2073 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âIâll ask once more, who else wishes to challenge the Kimboku warrior?â Quincy spoke up again.
He truly wished for a skilled martial artist to come forward voluntarily, defeat Marco, and bring honor to the country.
Otherwise, he would have to step in himself.
âWhatâs the matter? Is no one brave enough to challenge our master?â
The butler sneered and continued his provocation, âIt looks like the rumors are true. You Dragonmarshians are just weak and cowardly eastern scoundrels! 11
His statement stirred an uproar among the crowd.
âYou fucking asshole! What did you just say? Iâll fucking kill you!â
âYou son of bitch! Donât you mess with us!â
âHow dare you insult us! I swear to god, Iâll kill all of you!â
The martial artists roared in fury, clenching their teeth with simmering resentment.
Several impulsive young men even made a move to charge forward, but Quincy stopped them.
Even in the rare case that they were able to defeat Marco, turning the duel into a brawl would undoubtedly stain the reputation of Dragonmarshâs martial artists.
They would not only be labeled as eastern scoundrels but also be branded as martial artists without principles who couldnât accept defeat gracefully.
âAll you Dragonmarshians seem to know is how to rage. If you really got the skills, then prove it in a duel,â the butler taunted.
âEnough!â Quincyâs expression turned icy. He said darkly, âYou want a fight? Then fight me!â
âHa! Couldnât hold back any longer, huh?â The butler smirked. âQuincy Douglas, youâre a prominent figure in the Celestial Alliance.
âIf you suffer defeat today, it wonât just be a personal humiliation but a disgrace to the entire Celestial Alliance. Have you really made up your mind?â
Defeating a few insignificant individuals was nothing special. Marcoâs reputation would only soar if he could defeat someone of Quincyâs stature.
âHmph! Iâve traversed the realms of martial arts for countless years. While I wonât say that Iâm invincible, Iâm certainly not someone who would suffer defeat in the hands of just anyone,â Quincy declared coldly.
âOh, is that so? Well, letâs wait and see, âThe butler sneered before stepping to the side.
âHold on.â
Just as Quincy was about to start the duel, Dustin suddenly stepped forward and declared confidently, âElder Douglas, you stepping in is overkill. Allow me.â
As soon as the words left his lips, all eyes were on Dustin. A murmur of surprise rippled through the crowd as they scrutinized him.
No one expected Dustin to take on the challenge at this crucial moment.
âHey! Do you even realize what youâre saying? Even Vincent was defeated. What makes you think you are a match for that brat? Come on, just take a look at yourself!â Ruby snorted.
How dare an unknown martial artist issue a challenge? He was overestimating himself!
âAs someone who went through the experience, let me offer you a piece of advice. Donât embarrass yourself.
âYou arenât even my match, how could you possibly go against that brat?â Miles rebuked him like an elder lecturing a junior.
âThis battle carries significant consequences. Just to be safe, itâs better to let Elder Douglas have this fight,â Crystal cautioned.
Dustin might have the skills, but right now, Dragonmarsh could no longer afford to lose.
âWho are you?â Quincy turned around and sized Dustin up carefully. He frowned slightly, âYoung man, which sect are you from, and who is your master?â
âI belong to no sect and have no master. Iâm just a lone wanderer,â Dustin replied truthfully.
âNo sect and no master?â Quincyâs brows furrowed deeper.
It was utter recklessness for someone to challenge Marco without even having a proper martial sect.
