Chapter 2089 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âSir, Mr. Alessandro put up a challenge at the center of the ancient town.
âHe wanted to challenge Dragonmarshâs martial artists to dampen their nationâs spirit. He also wanted to gain a name for himself and bring honor to the Alessandro family.
âEverything was going well at first. Two Dragonmarshâs aces lost against him. Unexpectedly, a nameless person appeared at the third match.
âHe took advantage when Mr. Alessandro was at his weakest and defeated him unfairly. He even tortured and humiliated him. Please avenge him and kill that lowly Dragonmarsh martial artist!â
The butler knelt on the floor and quickly recounted the events, embellishing the details for added effect.
âFuck!â Anthony was furious after hearing that. Then, he slapped the butlerâs face. âWho let you set up a challenge at Sacred Wrym Summit? Do you know that itâll ruin our plan?â
âSir, itâs not my fault. Mr. Alessandro said that his family had been dormant for so long. He wanted to use this chance to make a name for himself and reclaim the honor they once had,â the butler cried.
âStupid!â Anthony kicked the butler to the floor and shouted. âAs his servant, you should keep an eye on him and stop all his reckless actions. Instead, youâre here begging for my mercy after he lost!
âIâ¦â The butler was speechless.
No matter what, the butler was somewhat responsible for Anthony being beaten like this.
âBring Marco back to his room for treatment!â Anthony motioned and ordered his subordinate to bring the heavily injured Marco away.
Then, Anthony turned around and glared at the butler. âYou good-for- nothing! You failed to protect your employer, even bringing shame to the Alessandro family.
âYou should cut off one of your hands as a punishment!â After saying that, Anthony took out a blade and threw it to the butlerâs leg.
âWhat?â The butlerâs face turned pale, and his legs shuddered. The butler only had two hands. If he lost one of them, he would become useless!
âWhat? Are you scared?â Anthonyâs gaze turned gloomy as he pressed his hands on his sword.
If the butler dared to refuse, he wouldnât hesitate to cut off his head. Anthony could still forgive the butler for losing. However, he couldnât tolerate a coward in his family.
âThank⦠Thank you for going easy on me. Iâm willing to be punished!â Seeing the Kimbokuan martial artists staring at him, the butler gulped and aimed the knife at his wrist.
âAh!â The butler shouted. After mustering up his courage, he cut off his wrist.
The knife was sharp. Thus, it cut off his wrist easily. Instantly, blood oozed out and splattered all over the floor.
The butler gritted his teeth, emitting a wail of agony from his throat. He was drenched in cold sweat, and his entire body was convulsing in pain. He almost fainted from the pain.
âYou useless person! Go and get yourself treated!â Anthony shouted.
âThank you!â The butler thanked before exiting the room while covering his broken hand.
âMr. Alessandro, what happened? Why is there blood everywhere?â At this moment, a shrill voice sounded at the door.
All the Kimbokuan martial artists became alert as they looked over.
A group of black-shirted tall men and women with golden hair and blue eyes stepped inside confidently.
Although they didnât exude any particular aura, their presence weighed heavily on the Kimbokuan martial artistsâ chest.
It was as if they were a pack of beasts instead of human beings.
âThe Hall of Gods?â Anthony narrowed his eyes. He immediately gripped the hilt of his sword, as if he was facing a formidable enemy.
