Chapter 2090 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Anthony and the Kimbokuan warriors held on tightly to their swords with alert looks on their faces as they observed the unexpected appearance of the individuals.
It appeared as if they were up against a strong opponent. They had no choice as these men and women with blonde hair and blue eyes were very imposing.
âMr. Alessandro, how have you been? Itâs been a long time.â A sturdy, middle -aged man with a neat beard and a greasy hairdo walked forward and greeted them with a smile.
âBailey? Itâs you!â Anthony looked carefully and was very surprised, â Arenât you being held prisoner at the Hall of Gods? Why are youâ¦â He looked around and decided it was best not to ask.
He remembered that Bailey, the Grizz Lord, was the nemesis of the Hall of Gods.
He was on the most wanted list of the Hall of Gods and he was finally caught with the help of many skilled fighters. After that, he was imprisoned in a secret location at the Hall of Gods.
No one had expected that Bailey would be released and was now on good terms with the members of the Hall of Gods. What a shock!
âMr. Alessandro, youâre outdated. I regained my freedom a year ago.â Bailey smiled and revealed his pearly whites. âNow, I hold a very important position at the Hall of Gods. I am now the new God of the Underworld!â
âWhat? Youâre now a member of the Hall of Gods and youâre also the new God of the Underworld?â Anthonyâs eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
The elite fighter team of the Hall of Gods consisted of twelve major gods and four royal gods. Hades was one of the royal gods. He was one of the most powerful people in the organization.
It was true that Bailey, the Grizz Lord, possessed the potential to be the God of the Underworld.
However, the problem was that Bailey used to be a prisoner of the Hall of Gods. It was unbelievable that he had now become one of the royal gods at the Hall of Gods.
This was just like sworn enemies who suddenly became best friends. It was very strange!
âMr. Alessandro, thereâs nothing shocking about this. The Hall of Gods appreciates talent. Anyone would naturally move up the ranks if they had an iron fist.
âHow about that? Are you interested in becoming a member of the Hall of Gods?â Bailey lit a cigar as he grinned.
âMr. Bailey, stop joking around. Traditions are very important for the Alessandro family. Weâll never work for an outsider.â Anthony shook his head.
âOh, what a waste of talent!â Bailey uncrossed his arms and continued, â With your potential, youâd easily become one of the major gods. You know this as well.
âA year ago, many talents were lost when the Hall of Gods invaded Dragonmarsh and failed to kill the Crown Prince of Lucozia. We need more members now.â
In all honesty, he was grateful that the failed mission dealt a huge blow to the Hall of Gods. If not, he wouldnât have regained his freedom and become God of the Underworld.
âMr. Bailey, I donât think you came all this way just to tell me this, right?â Anthony asked inquisitively.
âMr. Alessandro, I came to pay a special visit as I heard that you were around the Sacred Wrym Summit. Iâve something to discuss with you as well.â Bailey said with a smile.
âWhat might that be?â Anthony was eager to find out.
âKimboku and the Hall of Gods share the same goal. However, itâd be difficult to achieve this goal if we work alone. I think that we should team up.â
Bailey took two long drags on his cigar and continued, âDragonmarsh is very different now. Itâs developing too rapidly and it currently ranks second in the world.
âDragonmarsh is just slightly behind Artea. Besides, at the rate of its development, Dragonmarsh will definitely surpass Artea in under ten years and become the strongest country in the world! I think this is something neither of us would like to see.
âAfter all, when compared to Artea, the people of Dragonmarsh hate Kimboku more. Itâd be a huge threat to our nations when Dragonmarsh becomes a strong country!â
Anthonyâs expression became serious when he heard that.
