Chapter 2100 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âGo to hell!â Jasper shivered as he locked eyes with Willem, whose piercing red gaze sent a chill down his spine. Gripping his spear tightly, Jasper swiftly spun it around.
With a deft movement, the spearhead dodged Willemâs clawed reach and shot up his arm. Like a striking serpent, it aimed for Willemâs chest with remarkable speed and precision.
Then, the sickening noise of flesh tearing echoed through the air.
With no hindrance, Jasperâs forceful thrust drove the spear straight through Willemâs heart. It pierced him from front to back, leaving a grim pool of blood staining the ground.
âGeneral, youâre incredible!â Hundreds of silver-armored guards cheered in unison, visibly thrilled. They knew insulting Glorian would end in death.
âHaha⦠I thought you were tough, but youâre weaker than I thought. One spear thrust and youâre done! Truly disappointing!â He withdrew the spear, leaving a bloody hole in Willemâs chest.
To his surprise, Willem didnât collapse. Instead, he fixed his gaze on Jasper, like a predator watching its prey.
Bailey and the others stayed calm, not showing any surprise.
âDo you think youâve won?â Suddenly, Willem laughed with a sinister smile on his pale face. âYour attack merely tickled me.â
âW-What?â Jasper furrowed his brow.
He was horrified to witness the bloody hole in Willemâs chest visibly healing at an astonishing speed. In just a few breaths, the fatal wound had recovered entirely, leaving no trace of a scar.
âHow⦠How is this possible? What kind of monster are you?â Jasper gasped in shock.
Being stabbed in the chest not only caused no harm but healed instantly- was this even human?
âMonster? Hehe⦠Your nightmare has just begun.â Willem grinned wickedly. Then, he lunged forward. His claws were poised to strike Jasperâs face.
Jasper, reacting on instinct, thrust his spear forward in defense. But in a sudden and unexpected twist, Willemâs body burst apart.
It morphed into a swarm of thousands of black bats that descended upon Jasper in a frenzied assault.
Caught off guard, Jasper panicked. He flailed his arms and shouted in confusion as he desperately tried to fend off the relentless swarm with his spear. He had never anticipated such a bizarre trick from his opponent.
The sky filled with the fluttering of black wings as the bats relentlessly attacked Jasper, leaving behind a trail of fine scars on his exposed limbs and face.
Despite the protection of his golden armor, Jasper was overwhelmed by the sheer number and speed of the bats.
In just moments, he was left battered and wounded.
As the swarm dispersed, Willem reformed behind Jasper in his human shape, a wicked grin on his face.
âLet me taste the blood of Glorianâs people. I wonder what it tastes like.â With lightning speed, Willem grabbed Jasperâs head and sank his fangs into his neck.
