Chapter 332 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Dustin kept dialing and making calls while he drove. However, no matter how many times he dialed, Dahlia never answered. For some reason, Dustin was anxious. It felt as if something important was slowly slipping out of his grasp.
He stepped on the accelerator and headed straight for Nicholson Villa. Ever since they got divorced, heâd never set foot in that place again. But at that moment, he couldnât care less.
After he arrived, he rushed to the entrance, ringing the doorbell and pounding on the door persistently.
âHow rude! Canât you knock gently?â Following the annoyed voice, the door opened.
âDustin? What are you doing here?â Florence frowned, looking upset.
Dustin went straight to the point. âWhereâs Dahlia? I need to see her!â
âHmph! What makes you think you can just barge in here to see her? Get lost!â Florence responded harshly. She was about to close the door as she spoke when the door was blocked by a foot.
With a solemn expression, Dustin said, âI know Dahlia is inside. I have something to tell her, please let her know.â
âThere is no need to do so. She doesnât want to see you.â
Florence gave him a contemptuous look and continued, âLet me tell you. My daughterâs engagement party with Mr. Langford is tomorrow. So, from tomorrow onward, sheâll be known as Mrs. Langford. Someone like you will never match up to him. So, please stop disturbing my daughter!â
âDahlia cannot marry Luis!â Dustin frowned. âI know the truth. I know she was forced. She doesnât need to sacrifice herself. I can solve everything!â
âYou canât solve shit!â
Florence glared at him. âRhys! Iâm warning you not to poke your nose where it doesnât belong! Itâs a blessing for my daughter to have the chance to marry the Langfords. Iâll fight you to death if you get in the way!â
âIs wealth more important than Dahliaâs happiness?â
Dustin reasoned with her, âLuis is a typical playboy with a volatile temper and violent tendencies. If Dahlia marries him, sheâll be walking into her own misery!â
âNonsense!â
Florence erupted in anger. âRhys! You better not spout nonsense! Luis was brought up in a wealthy family with class and manners. Heâs miles better than you will ever be!â
To her, Dustin only said those words out of jealousy He was slandering Luis since he knew he wasnât Luisâ competition. She didnât realize he was such a malicious person!
âDahlia, I know youâre in there. Can you please come out and talk to me?â Seeing that Florence wouldnât budge, he raised his voice in hopes that Dahlia could hear him from inside.
âShut up! Iâm warning you. My daughter is not at home. If you continue to cause trouble for us, Iâll call the police!â Florence threatened him.
Dustin ignored her and continued yelling, âDahlia, listen up! I donât need your sympathy. Donât make decisions on your own! Do you think a mere Luis can hurt me? You must be crazy! Weâre divorced. What makes you think you can use your life to save mine? Can you not think so highly of yourself?â His tirade echoed throughout the villa.
âHey! Youâve got some nerve!â Florence grabbed a broom and was about to hit him in her fury when a clear voice rang out.
âMom, let me talk to himâ¦â Dahlia finally walked out.
âDahlia, why did you come out? Just let me deal with this insolent brat.â Florence was clearly upset.
